folium builds on the data wrangling strengths of the Python ecosystem and the mapping strengths of the leaflet.js library. Manipulate your data in Python, then visualize it in on a Leaflet map via folium. folium makes it easy to visualize data that’s been manipulated in Python on an interactive leaflet map. It enables both the binding of data to a map for choropleth visualizations as well as passing rich vector/raster/HTML visualizations as markers on the map. The library has a number of built-in tilesets from OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, and Stamen, and supports custom tilesets with Mapbox or Cloudmade API keys. folium supports both Image, Video, GeoJSON and TopoJSON overlays. To create a base map, simply pass your starting coordinates to Folium. To display it in a Jupyter notebook, simply ask for the object representation. The default tiles are set to OpenStreetMap, but Stamen Terrain, Stamen Toner, Mapbox Bright, and Mapbox Control Room, and many others tiles are built in.

Sparse is a direct method solver for the large sparse matrices that are associated with electrical circuit simulation. It uses LU factorization and handles both real and complex square matrices.It is intended to solve many matrices with the same structure

CMD Plot Tool calculates and plots Colour Magnitude Diagrams (CMDs) from astronomical photometric data, e.g. of a star cluster observed in two filter bandpasses. It can handle multiple file formats (plain text, DAOPHOT .mag files, ACS Survey of Galactic Globular Clusters .zpt files) to generate professional and customised plots, without the usual steep learning curve. Development using Python, OOP and a formal software development lifecycle model (Agile) allowed for the creation of an application that can be deployed on multiple systems. It works “out of the box” and does not require any installation of development environments, additional libraries or resetting of system paths. The tool is available as a single application/executable file, with the source code, on Sourceforge. Sample data is also bundled, to demonstrate its complete functionality to users. Other functionality within this application is the ability to convert DAOPHOT magnitude files to CSV format.

JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor). An abritary number of tracks may be opened or created, tracks may be merged. A track may be splitted, reversed or edited (e.g. compressed and corrected). Points may be inserted or appended to a track (routing supported) or may be moved or deleted from a track. Maps of several providers are available, the default map is OpenStreetMap. Currently supported track formats: Garmin gpx route, Garmin gpx track, Garmin tcx, kml and plain txt. JGPSTrackEdit my also be used to download tile images for later offline use by smartphone apps. JGPSTrackEdit is written in the java language. The ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation) is a set of functions focused on automating the drawing of mechanical parts. It is not a CAD system but a GObject-based library where a custom application can put common CAD entities such as paths, hatches and dimensions, to automatically create technical drawings. A demo application is provided in order to show the capabilities of the canvas. Although it is possible to interact with the library directly in C (that is what the adg-demo program is doing), the canvas is expected to be used from higher level languages, much in the same way as what done in the GNOME stack. Lua bindings based on LGI are already provided out of the box. The adg-lua project, downloadable from the "Files" section, provides Lua programs and demos that leverages these bindings.

The EdytorNC project now consists of four applications that can be useful for programming and operating CNC machine tools. EditorNC is a specialised text editor for CNC programmers. FTPserver is a simple FTP server for transferring cnc programs to and from the machine. SerialPortFileServer is a simple server for transferring cnc programmes to and from the machine via RS232 ports. ProgramManager is a program that makes it easy to search for cnc programs based on, for example, part number, part name contained in the first three comments in the cnc program. This project is about a futuristic style of human-computer interaction, where the user can visit almost everything simply by zooming in.
