Meteorologist is a free weather program for OS X. It allows users total control over their weather viewing, including simultaneous interlaced weather reports from multiple weather servers, multiple weather locations, weather alerts and much more. Now being offered for Windows users on both X64 and ARM64.

DesktopFly is a macOS experiment that places a 3D fruit fly on the desktop and drives its behavior with a live neural simulation based on the FlyWire connectome. A 668-neuron circuit with roughly 19,000 biological synaptic connections runs as a spiking simulation that influences walking, steering, grooming, and escape behavior. Cursor movement, windows, clicks, temperature, and time of day become environmental inputs. The fly can walk along window edges, fly between locations, sleep, groom itself, and react to threats. An interactive brain view displays thousands of neuron positions and lets users stimulate regions directly. The transparent overlay remains click-through so the fly can inhabit the desktop without intercepting normal input.

LocationSimulator is a macOS app (10.15.x and later) that allows spoofing the location of an iOS or iPhoneSimulator device. The target audience of this project is developers who want to test their location service-based application. I do not encourage the use of this application to cheat in iOS games and I do not provide support for these games. If you use this application for any purpose outside of the intended, you are on your own.

SwiftWeather has been renamed to Swift Language Weather. Swift Language Weather is an iOS weather app developed in Swift 4. The app has been actively upgrading to adopt the latest features of iOS and Swift language. The current version is working with Xcode Version Xcode 9.1 (9B55). If you are using a different Xcode version, please check out the previous releases. We use Protocol-Oriented Programming in IBAnimatable open source projects. Value-based programming, we use immutable values anywhere. Icon fonts, weather icons, SwiftyJSON, core location, app indexing like CoreSpotlight and NSUserActivity. Unit tests, UI tests, and animations supported. Compile and run the app in your simulator. If you don't see any data, please check "Simulator" -> "Debug" -> "Location" to change the location.

Control Room is a macOS application designed to give developers advanced control over Apple’s iOS, tvOS, and watchOS simulators, streamlining the process of testing and debugging apps. Built on top of Apple’s simctl command-line tool, it provides a graphical interface that simplifies complex simulator configurations and actions. Developers can manipulate various aspects of the simulated device environment, including network conditions, battery status, and system settings, without needing to manually execute terminal commands. The tool also enables tasks such as capturing screenshots and videos, sending push notifications, and simulating location changes, which are essential for testing real-world scenarios. Its integration with SwiftUI ensures a modern and responsive user experience while maintaining deep functionality. ControlRoom reduces the friction of repetitive testing tasks, allowing developers to focus more on building and refining their applications.

kmap builds free, detailed maps for any Garmin device (handheld, watch or bike computer) from OpenStreetMap data, on your own computer. Pick a country, a region or a whole continent, press Build, and copy one .img file to the device. The map carries contour lines at the interval you choose, shaded relief and an elevation profile, turn-by-turn routing, address search, day and night colours, and points of interest. Every feature is optional: leave out what your device does not need, and the map gets smaller and faster. Two styles are built in, modelled on Openstreetmap and OpenTopoMap, and kmap can reuse the look of a map you own where its licence allows. Profiles keep a separate set of build settings for each device. kmap runs as a full-screen terminal interface, and every feature is also available from the command line. Map data comes from Geofabrik's OpenStreetMap extracts, updated daily; the tools kmap needs are downloaded on first run.

Sciatrope is a Cocoa (macOS) application made by an eclipse chaser for eclipse chasers. It helps preparing for, and observe, any solar eclipse. It gives the eclipse circumstances, distance and direction to the central line. Observing location can be provided by the Mac, an external GPS, by location name, from a previously saved favorite location, or by latitude and longitude. Eclipse circumstances are displayed in tabular form, on a map, a compass, or in an image, with azimuthal or equatorial orientation, which can be flipped horizontally, vertically, or both. The map also displays the eclipse path, with the central line and the north and south limits of the central eclipse. The eclipse path is refined when you zoom in. For the experts or adventurous, eclipse elements can be modified, to take into account new updated elements, or experiment with the Besselian elements.

ARKit uses camera and motion data to map out the local world as you move around. CoreLocation uses wifi and GPS data to determine your global location, with a low degree of accuracy. ARKit + CoreLocation combines the high accuracy of AR with the scale of GPS data. The potential for combining these technologies is huge, with so many potential applications across many different areas. Allow items to be placed within the AR world using real-world coordinates. Dramatically improved location accuracy, using recent location data points combined with knowledge about movement through the AR world. The improved location accuracy is currently in an “experimental” phase, but could be the most important component. The library and demo come with a bunch of additional features for configuration. It’s all fully documented to be sure to have a look around.
