bel_fft
FFT co-processor in Verilog based on the KISS FFT
bel_fft is a FFT co-processor that can calculate FFTs with arbitrary radix. It is a hardware implementation of the free software Kiss FFT ("Keep it simple, Stupid!"). The target was to allow a simple replacement of the software code with the hardware implementation. Therefore bel_fft comes with a software driver that is compatible with the Kiss FFT routines. bel_fft also has a modular architecture and allows interfacing different bus architectures. So far AMBA AXI, Altera's Avalon bus and the Wishbone bus are supported. However, bel_fft's architecture allows an easy adaptation to further bus architectures (e.g. AMBA AHB). It comes with a Java wizard to configure the co-processor and to generate all required files (e.g. twiddle ROMs). It comes with integration into Xilinx Vivado, EDK, and Altera QSYS and includes example designs for Xilinx Zynq and with PCI-Express core (including Linux driver and application). bel_fft is distributed under the GNU Lesser Public License 2.1. -

ciGen
ciGen is a short C++ code to generate cohesive interface elements.
Cohesive zone model (CZM) is a powerful method to study many cracking phenomena. Cohesive interface elements constitute a simple to implement yet valuable tool to implement CZM. This project provides a simple C++ code that reads a finite element mesh, modify it and generate cohesive interface elements where needed. It can read Gmsh (http://geuz.org/gmsh/) or ABAQUS input files and write the mesh to any format such as ABAQUS and jive (http://www.dynaflow.com/en_GB/jive.html). The code was written by VP Nguyen (google scholar link: http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=jCqqCAoAAAAJ&hl=en) when he was at TU Delft and the algorithm is described in the article VP Nguyen, "An open source program to generate zero-thickness cohesive interface elements", Advances in Engineering Software, 2014(74), 27--39. The code was compiled in Ubuntu/Mac OS (a gnu makefile is provided) and Windows (Microsoft Visual Studio). You have to install the library Boost (http://www.boost.org) first. -
