About

Fast, simple, secure. Privacy that fits in your pocket. Send high-quality group, text, voice, video, document, and picture messages anywhere in the world without SMS or MMS fees. Signal messages and calls are always end-to-end encrypted and painstakingly engineered to keep your communication safe. We can't read your messages or see your calls, and no one else can either. Keep your chat history tidy with messages that you can set to disappear. Choose different disappearing message intervals for each conversation. Everyone in the thread shares the same setting. Good memories will last even if the words vanish. Signal is made for you. As an Open Source project supported by grants and donations, Signal can put users first. There are no ads, no affiliate marketers, no creepy tracking. Just open technology for a fast, simple, and secure messaging experience. The way it should be.

About

Stay connected to the conversations that matter the most. Send texts, photos, videos, and more. Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Then personalize your messages with animated effects, pin your important conversations, send inline replies, and add mentions. With Messages in iOS 14, you can pin up to nine conversations. When you pin a conversation it shows up at the top of the Messages app, so it's easy to get to. With iOS 13 and later, and iPadOS, You can share your name and photo when you start or respond to a new message. You can use a Memoji, or a custom image for your photo. Messages is the text-messaging software included with your Mac. Use it to send messages with iMessage, or to send SMS and MMS messages through your iPhone. With Messages for Mac, you can send unlimited messages to any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that uses iMessage, Apple's secure-messaging service. iPhone owners can use it for SMS and MMS messages, too.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It offers text, video and audio communication to shat in contact with family and colleagues. It's also has a mobile platform. Group chats are easy to add and share with the community.
  • Free & Open source Provides end to end encryption Group chat and video calling 'Disappearing messages' feature Complete privacy - No IP or data logs No ads or trackers - No data collection Available across platforms and mobiles

Cons

  • It worked great for me. Nothing to share about cons.
  • It requires a working phone number to sign up - it should be allowed to work with email for better privacy and accessibility. Apart from that it is a great app with no cons.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Fast communication. Enjoyable experience. Intuitive layouts overall. Empowering creativity. Simple and functional.
  • 1. It is end-to-end encrypted, which provides privacy and security while chatting. 2. It can be used in multiple Apple devices and all the data gets synchronized across all the devices in real-time. 3. Furthermore, it supports emojis and memojis. 4. It has many stickers and effects to make the chatting fun.
  • - The message exchange is just seamless with smooth animations. - It automatically distinguishes iMessage and non iMessage user by showing the chats in blue and green bubbles. - The chats can be made more interactive with the use of stickers and custom memojis. - It supports integration with many Apple applications, like Apple Pay.
  • - It is more than just a messaging application with a lot of unique features. - It allows the iPhone user to text to another iPhone user, as well as people not on the Apple device. - It gets seamlessly integrated with other Apple application for a smoother experience. - The animation and exclusive use of memojis makes chatting more fun.
  • - iMessage comes preloaded with Apple devices and is completely free to use. - The user interface of the application is feature packed and clean. - It allows the user to use animated emojis for a fun chat experience. - It also has feature that allow the user to send a message with special graphical effects. - It is completely free to use and run solely on data if the recipient is also using iMessage.

Cons

  • I suggest placing the Delete message option alongside or within the same menu as the reply, add sticker, copy, and translate options. This arrangement would make it easier to directly select and delete the last message, rather than having to navigate through a "More..." button. It would empower users to decide which message they want to delete independently.
  • 1. It is only available for Apple devices. Other than this, it does not have any solid con.
  • - Honestly, it is one of the best messaging tool available, and I haven't had any issues with it in my usage.
  • - There isn't anything to dislike about this application, everything works smooth and jitter free.
  • - It is only limited exclusively to Apple devices.
