About

SecureDesk is a self-hosted remote support and device management platform for Windows environments, built so the operator's own infrastructure, not a third-party cloud sits in the middle of every session. It supports two connection modes: attended sessions for real-time, on-demand remote assistance where the end user is present to approve the connection, and unattended access for managing devices that aren't actively staffed, such as servers or kiosks. For deeper troubleshooting, technicians can drop into a SYSTEM-level shell to run administrative commands directly on the endpoint. The core of its design is the encryption model: both the technician's console and the remote endpoint generate their own AES-256-GCM keys, and endpoints connect outbound-only. The self-hosted relay that brokers each session only ever forwards ciphertext it holds no key for, so even the relay operator can't see or decrypt session content.

Audience

IT professionals from businesses of all sizes and across various industries

Audience

IT support teams, help desks, and managed service providers (MSPs) responsible for Windows environments — anyone doing remote troubleshooting or device management who wants to avoid routing session data through a third-party cloud. It's a strong fit for organizations in privacy- and compliance-sensitive industries (healthcare, finance, legal, government) where visibility into remote-support traffic is a real security concern, since the relay itself can't decrypt session content. It also suits solo technicians and small IT shops via the free tier (one technician, three devices), as well as larger teams needing unattended access to unstaffed devices like servers and kiosks.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • This product saves me so much time. When I get a call from one of the reps or other works that are remote, I just open a session with them and I can see what they are doing. Cuts my call down from 30 min to troubleshoot to about 5 min.
  • Easy for customers to use in one-time support connections. Great for unlimited number of unattended access connections. Tech support is great. Great value.
  • Works well and is very intuitive. It makes it very easy to use and explain things to users. I like the feature that gives the users control of the access code. It gives them a greater peace of mind.
  • Easy of use. 150 unattended client limit. moved across multiple screens with ease. the pricing makes it much more affordable than the competition.
  • The remote support application from Techinline.com is an exceptionally efficient and cost effective solution for supporting Windows computers with a cost of only $300.00 per technician. Installation of the technician ("expert") application is quick and easy. Installation of the "client" application does not require administrative privileges for the user. Connecting to a client is fast with clear video and responsive controls. The application supports multiple monitors, permits the expert to reboot and reconnect to a client system with one button, and has many other features.

Cons

  • We have so many that have dual screens, it can be a issue sometimes. There is also a lag time with some connections but I believe that is the wifi on the users end.
  • Wish they could connect to Apple computers, as they currently only support PC's.
  • There are quite a few steps for users to perform before I can remote into their devices. It doesn't work on apple products.
  • Man, I can't think of anything.
  • I would like this application to support Chrome OS, Mac OS, and Linux clients.
