Interesting .. Do you have any CGI-related environment variables set at the command like SCRIPT_NAME or SERVER_ROOT ? These may be confusing Webmin scripts.. - Jamie |

Does the slave system run a Linux variant like Ubuntu that doesn't allow root to login directly, and only allows you to login to Webmin as some user who can sudo to root? Also, in the Webmin Servers Index module on the master, does the entry for the slave system have 'Use fast RPC login?' set to 'Yes' ? It should.. - Jamie |

Hi Vernon,<br />If you are using Virtualmin Pro, the option to change the IP is on the left frame under Server Configuration. For GPL, it is on the Edit Server page..<br />You could change it manually by updating the network interface, Apache config and DNS records, but for Virtualmin to know about this you'd also need to update the ip=3D line in the appropriate file in /etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains/<br /><br />=A0- Jamie<br /><br />On 30/Jan/2007 05:05 Vernon wrote .. <blockquote type=3D"cite"> <p>I assume this should be under Server Objects, however, no such option exists. Hi. > If you click on the Samba monitor in the web interface, is the > 'Check on schedule?' option set to one of the 'Yes..' modes? Its "Yes, and use the default reporting mode" Well yesterday night I got this email form webmin: "Service monitor : Samba Servers down on servername" !!! So it succeed in report the problem when run at the schedule time. But when I try manually to make it send me report it doesn't. Hello When I use the batch add domains to my master server, the first few domai= ns get added successfully. After the 3rd domain I receive this error for th= e slaves. Errors occurred created on slave servers : ns2.xxx.com : Invalid RPC logi= n to ns2.xxx.com This is really irritating as I need to go and fix these domains manually = and wastes alot of my time. Today I tried to add 57 domains and only 3 worked properly. Does anyone else have this problem? |

I'm seeing some strange behavior in my scheduled cron jobs module. When I set up the ACL to disallow everything (set all options to 'no'), yet allow the users to see cron jobs of selected (or all) users, they are still able to update the run time. All I want to do is to allow them to see when a job is run and the command (don't ask...). Anyone else able to duplicate this behavior? =G= |

Protected directories should, imho, be integrated with virtualmin/virtual server configuration.. or at least be able to use data from a given site. Example; I'm editing a virtual server, so webmin knows where "I am" in regards to directories and so on.. now I want to add a protected directory, for that site .. it's somewhat cumbersome, and it shouldn't have to be. A directory browser or something along those lines, with the current web sites root might make more sense.. I hope I'm making sense :-) -joho |

Hi webmin 1.310 (waiting before i update to 1.320) i want to allow 1 user access to be locked to his account for upload/download of files. i created a new webmin group and set only Upload/Download in that group. i can login as the user but see all the directories when looking for "File or directory to upload to" also i cannot see the Module Config despite this being set. The whole point of suexec is that CGI scripts run under the UID of the domain owner, rather than the UID of the webserver. IIRC there's a hardcoded restriction in suexec (and, for that matter, a great many similar tools) that effectively reads "If UID==0, die NOW!". This also typically means that you MUST have a user defined for each domain in your system password file, unless you hack the code to allow bare UIDs. IIRC in *some* cases you can use "#<uid>" as well, but there are some unfortunate side effects relating to user home directories. -kgd |

Hello! Thanks for the 1.320-upgrade! As usual, a nice piece of work. Suggestions for the MySQL-module (perhaps applicable in other places too): 1) Whenever Webmin thinks there are "too many.." to display, it presents the user with an input field. How about presenting a select box instead? No risk of running out of space for the display. 2) Be able to view the MySQL log file -joho |

Hi, I upgrade to 1.320 but it still not working. Here is an example of what I understand as a broken scenario: Background: -System and Server Status monitor samba server -The samba server is up -Module Config setting is 'From last scheduled check' -System and Server Status main page show V on samba server (meaning it up) Actions: /etc/init.d/smb stop /etc/webmin/status/monitor.pl Shift refresh the browser in this address: https://myserver:10000/status/ System and Server Status main page still show V on samba server! Entering to the sabma page https://myserver:10000/status/edit_mon.cgi?id=samba On this page the Current status is 'Down' (as it really is) My feeling is that monitor.pl exit very fast and don't do nothing Any idea?
