Hi Jamie, I upgraded my Primary Nameserver Webmin and I *think* there is a small bug... When the Bind8 config is set to a small number of zones to display, you would normally see a message like "there are too many zones to display", then the links that allow you to add a new zone, create a master zone etc. Instead, when the 'max zones to display' is set to a number lower than the count of zone files you have, the 'there are too many zones to display' message comes up, BUT none of the links that allow you to do anything show up either ... -Grant ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> To: <web...@li...>; <web...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, January 24, 2007 4:50 PM Subject: [webmin-l] Webmin 1.320 released > Hi everyone, > > Webmin version 1.320 is now available for download from > http://www.webmin.com/ and mirror sites. Thanks, I see what you mean now - I will fix that in the next Webmin =

I posted example where you have hostnames *.pik.hr instead of IP =

hostnames/IPs would do the job.

Hi Jamie
Searching trough mail list i've found out that you maintain =
Shorewall Webmin module as core module, so here is my question:
Is it possible in Shorewall Firewall Rules screen to have Source =
and Destination hosts (IP addresses) separated with space when =
displayed? If you put for example 40 IP addresses in either one of those =
fields, table becomes so wide that it's hardly readable even on =
extremely high screen resolutions as IP addresses make table very wide. =
If they would be separated with space, browser would automatically wrap =
contents of those columns and it would become readable so we wouldn't =
have to scroll right to see rest of the firewall rule.
That sounds pretty easy to implement..
Could you post an example line from /etc/shorewall/rules so that I =
can see how you are using the IP addresses?

Hello, The System and Server Status monitor show the correct status on each on the checked component. I define the module to send me an email alert once a day, but no email is send. I show it add this command to the cron /etc/webmin/status/monitor.pl When I try to run run form shell there is no output and no email send. In /var/log/maillog I can find any attempts to send email. Any idea? Thanks Addady |

Hi everyone, Webmin version 1.320 is now available for download from http://www.webmin.com/ and mirror sites. This release includes the following changes : - Added the PHP Configuration module for managing php.ini. - Changed the default theme for new installs to the Blue Framed theme. - Improved handling of large file uploads so that they are no longer read into memory by Webmin webserver. Also added a progress bar window for tracking uploads. - Added checkboxes for deleting multiple objects at once in several modules. - Changed all rows of links (like Select all / Invert selection / Add something) to put | characters between them, to improve readability. - Big improvements in Windows support in various modules and the Webmin core. - Enhanced the System and Server Status module to allow monitoring of all hosts in a Webmin server group. - A bunch of other small fixes and features. Also available is Usermin 1.250, which adds the Filter Mail module for easily creating procmail rules that do autoresponders and delivery to folders, plus a few other small fixes. As always, please send me any bug reports or feature suggestions that you might have. By the way, don't bother trying to upgrade from 1.310 to 1.320 using Webmin's built-in download feature. Due to changes at sourceforge, this feature is broken until you install 1.320. Instead, download the new .rpm or .tar.gz file, go to the Webmin Configuration module, click on Upgrade Webmin, and select to upgrade from the file you downloaded manually. - Jamie |

I haven't been following this too closely, but IIRC the Java SSH applet is "Just Another SSH Client", and it executes directly on your computer. And since you can't connect to port 22... :/ You're getting confused because it's provided by Webmin, in a Webmin page. Aside from Jamie's suggestion, you **MAY** be able to get SSH to listen on a different port, and connect to that port - unfortunately finding a free port is probably going to take a fair amount of trial-and-error. If all else fails... Bug your network/firewall admin - if it's important enough, firewalls can be reconfigured. -kgd |

Yes, for an SSH login the normal SSH port is still used. Unless you get the 'Shell in a box' module, which can do a login using the same HTTP connection the rest of Webmin uses. It can be downloaded from : http://download.webmin.com/download/modules/shellinabox.wbm.gz Use the Webmin Configuration -> Webmin Modules page to install it. - Jamie On 24/Jan/2007 09:54 fl...@ma... wrote .. > Doc, > > Ok, I found out more. Doc, Ok, I found out more. I tried the webmin interface from home, where all the stupid restrictions do not exist and it worked fine. Well, almost. So I guess that even though Webmin is an HTTP application, it uses SSH port "under the cover" for doing the SSH session. BLEH! Do you (or anyone else) know of a client that uses only port 80 for its traffic? I'm a little confused, since I *THOUGH* I was redirecting all traffic to port 10000 through a mod-proxy to 80, but then most of this confuses me. :) Mairhtin > fl...@ma... wrote: >> Doc, >> >> One thing I did change, was that I'm coming into Webmin using a >> mod-proxy >> arrangement. Strange thing is happening. I have an email user that was setup using Virtualmin and needed to change the password of that user. I went in under Virtualmin and changed the password. The password was reflected in Virtualmin after the change, however the user could not log in until I changed the password of the user itself under: System > Change Password |

Hi, If you have VMPro the bootup and shut down module consolidates all the daemons into selectable features. Otherwise each of the modules has should have a button to activate or shut down a daemon in particular if you're using the standalone client. Hi, More than likely your login prompt is waiting for you on the task bar. Just activate it and type username and password without moving your mouse, JAVA wants to grab the mouse activity. SMILE. I *THOUGHT* that the proxy-redirect would do all that, since port 10000 is completely "masked" to the /webmin directory. But I'm likely wrong. There *HAS* to be a browser-based SSH client SOMEWHERE. This can't be the first time someone like us is inconvenienced enough to do a work-around. I'll keep searching.
