Changed since last release:
- added trainer: Sensei Ja'chan (info submitted by Alias)
- counting how often we're boosted and seeked by mystics
- keep count of how often we're being chained by a chainer (possible
since v165)
We still need a GUI!

Hi, Bug isn't a real big thing since I doubt it'll be around in any sort of release, but key bindings don't work when the console window is the front most window. When the console reports that the player name wasn't found, is that file still counted and what's the criteria for that message? I have a few files that I'm getting that message for that are valid log files. Each one of them is the log that started up after recovering from a crash. HI all, OK. I am growing tired of trying to fix that problem on my own. Who in those reading this list have successfully committed any change to the Scribia project using a Mac client? Lark did. Rifkin did. Any more? Anyone else tried and failed? In both case, did you need to ask the sf support people to give you specific pserver access? I logged a request for that on the support page of SF (Support Request #111407 ) but it has been closed with a reference to the documentation, which i have reread again in full, with no mention on how to get either SSH access on the Mac, or to get pserver access myself on SourceForge. (Answer from gromit, whom I have CCed for this message, just in case he might help.) At this point, I just don't know what to do more. Help! /ponder do I need more than 100 pathfinding ranks to get in sourceforge? ;-) Geotzou |

Hello Lark, could you veirfy, again (sorry), that I really have general write access to the project? The guy handling my pserver request just turned me back to read the Site Docs getting started http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=774&group_id=1 and closed my ticket as well. (Ticket number 111407 https://sourceforge.net/support/?func=detailsupport&support_id=111407&group_id=1 ) So either you still do need to give me some access, or I am too dumb to actually use a CVS client properly, or my ticket description was not clear enough. In any case, I still receive that error for missing write access to repository. How did Rifkin uploaded his stuff last summer? Using a Mac, a PC, a linux box, a Palm, a Timex Sinclair? I am lost with the answer I got from Sourceforge support, i read it, it doesn'T really tell me how to do. Oh well. Ludo |

Hello, I was running Scribia and comparing it to Scribus. I noticed that the trainer Loovma Geer wasn't showing up. I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but figured I'd make sure. It looks like Scribia will be a much appreciated upgrade from Scribus when you get ready to release it. Thanks, Kate aka Connie Crete |

Jeff, Scribia is an open-source, community-driven effort. It looks like you (1) have programming skills and (2) have an interest in seeing a working, Scribus-like application. > Whatever I tried, I always get this. After much poking and testing, I would > liek you to verify. Am I really set with write access to the project? What you did were the correct steps, so it seems you don't have write access. I cannot verify this, however. When I make people developers, sourceforge gives them SSH write access. This method of access (rsh with a 3rd-party tool) does not work on the Mac, however. (There are no fully SSH-compliant clients.) So, after I make you a developer, you have to open a support item with sourceforge on their web site, and ask them to give you pserver access to the scribia CVS repository. Have you done this? If you have, maybe they screwed up. I know you are a developer, but that only means that SSH/CVS works for you. The pserver/CVS access method cannot be enabled by me, neither can I check if you have it. Only the sourceforge people can do that. As a workaround, if you have access to a Unix or Windows box, you can check things in from there using SSH/CVS. It's find it easier on Unix than on Windows, but that's probably because I try to avoid using it. Hope this helps (let me know if not), Lark PS: CC'ing the list, I doubt you're the only one with that problem. -- Lark <lar...@un...> |

If you use MacCVS 3.1, look at the "Root" file in any "CVS" directory in your local tree. Does it contain something like this -> :pserver:la...@cv...:/cvsroot/scribia The thing to look for is your username between ":pserver:" and "@". If it does, maybe try to log in again? Scribia 0.1.2-alpha is available from http://sourceforge.net/projects/scribia/ Changed since last release: - exile names are no matched more carefully to avoid false prefix matches - fixed bug in chain events counter that would generate incorrect counts when a chain broke on first use - if a log file does not contain the exile's name, we warn (maybe it's a log for another exile?) - fixed several scanning bugs for border-case timestamps - now counting total clanning times - no longer mistakenly scanning some exile-generated text - counting coins given to and received from other exiles (this does not yet include coins exchanged during buys/sells!) - applied Bones CW6 mods to the sources - only trying to scan 'TEXT' files now -- Lark <lar...@un...> |

I've committed some changes to the CVS tree. I was hoping to also roll a
0.1.2 release, but RL things will keep me occupied for a while, so I figured
I commit this now so people can play with it.
Please send feedback to the list, as always.
Changed since last release:
- exile names are no matched more carefully to avoid false prefix matches
- fixed bug in chain events counter that would generate incorrect counts
when a chain broke on first use
- if a log file does not contain the exile's name, we warn (maybe it's a
log for another exile?)
- fixed several scanning bugs for border-case timestamps
- now counting total clanning times
- no longer mistakenly scanning some exile-generated text
- counting coins given to and received from other exiles (this does not
yet include coins exchanged during buys/sells!)
- applied Bones CW6 mods to the sources
- only trying to scan 'TEXT' files now
