This second Pre-release includes read-only support for group settings, and read-write support for the list files associated with a group. I would really appreciate some feedback from this version to let me know what you all think about it. Thanks, and happy downloading! I'm releasing a 0.5.10 pre-release version of the module for two reasons. First is to fix all known bugs and to give a stable version for DG 2.6.x and below users. The other is to get feedback from 2.7.x users as to how the module is coming along with 2.7 support. Please take a look and let me know what you think! This is very important. I plan to have maybe one or two release candidates (rc) before the final 0.5.10 release. This version is downloadable from the SourceForge project page. A quick link to the exact file release is given below: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=51969&package_id=46050&release_id=227532 Here is the ChangeLog from this version: 0.5.10-pr1: - Removed "Return to DG config" link in savefile.cgi, search.cgi, editfiles.cgi - Added support for config options from 2.7.1 through 2.7.6-7 - Rearranged config options to be in sections. This makes for easier viewing and editing of the config via this module. - Moved DG config file check to a sub in dg-lib file. Makes for cleaner files all around. - Modified saveconf.cgi to work with sectioned editconf.cgi - Added support to specify start/stop/restart commands - Began filter groups framework -- Northern Indiana ESC Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... After forever and a day, I'm getting around to patching all those pesky little bugs, fixing smallish irritations, and getting the major features implemented. I'm only about 1/3 of the way finished with the major feature implementations, but I wanted to check in with the users first. Are there any outstanding bugs/feature requests which have not been entered into the SourceForge project page for the module? If so, please go to http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/dgwebminmodule and enter a bug report or feature request. On the list for this next release are: - Implement filter groups settings - Implement options for new antivirus plugin Did I miss anything? If so, do the above :) Thanks everyone! -- Northern Indiana ESC Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... Hello, The new DG has additional config file (there may be several of them) - dansguardianf1.conf, which now has some Content filtering files locations: # Content filtering files location bannedphraselist = '/etc/dansguardian/bannedphraselist' weightedphraselist = '/etc/dansguardian/weightedphraselist' exceptionphraselist = '/etc/dansguardian/exceptionphraselist' ... All these are now empty using latest dg webmin module (when I try to "View/Edit Files" in webmin). The temporary solution (before implementing group configurations which new DG supports) would be to use all dansguardian*.conf files for locating filtering files locations. Regards, Nerijus P.S. BTW, there are files .#edit.cgi.1.1.1.1, .#edit.cgi.1.3, .#logs.cgi.1.7 in /usr/libexec/webmin/dansguardian directory. These should be removed from distribution. |

I know, I screwed up the last release. The status.cgi changes weren't supposed to be used until 0.5.10, but I accidentally merged them with the last release and they didn't work. I've released 0.5.9-2 which includes fixed versions. You can find the module in it's normal spot on SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dgwebminmodule Here is the ChangeLog for 0.5.9 through 0.5.9-2: 0.5.9-2: Two releases in a day fixing my screw-ups, ugh - status.cgi was not doing it's job (process control) - Titles in status.cgi were not showing up - status.cgi itself was not showing up on index page - Cleaned up
tags in savefile.cgi - Modified saveconf.cgi and saveavconf.cgi to auto-restart DG if user perms say to - Changed note in saveconf.cgi to be taken from lang files 0.5.9-1: - Fixed problem introduced with last version where DG config dir was prefixed to all file paths when editing files. 0.5.9: - Fixed help link on index.cgi (Thomas Thuemmel) - Security update: Fixed SourceForge bug #869509 edit.cgi now forces files to be within DG config dir before editing - Removed "Return to edit config" link from edit.cgi footer Please don't hate me. -- Northern Indiana ESC Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... I made a mistake when fixing the edit.cgi problem. My brain had two thought processes going on how to fix it. I forgot to reverse changes made when trying the first option, and as a result caused the DG config dir to be prefixed to all full path names when editing files. I've released 0.5.9-1 which fixes this. I'm sorry about all the hassle this has caused. Just deduct it from my pay ;) As always, it's downloadable from the SF project page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dgwebminmodule -- Northern Indiana ESC Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... There was a tragic flaw in modules previous to 0.5.9 where edit.cgi can modify any file on the system. This has been fixed and 0.5.9 has been released which includes this fix. PLEASE update to 0.5.9 as soon as possible. The module is available from it's SourceForge download page at: http://www.sf.net/projects/dgwebminmodule/ A direct link to this release is available here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=51969&package_id=46050&release_id=208517 Developers: Please check all the remaining files to make sure that the problem doesn't exist elsewhere. Upcoming: My hope is that 0.5.10 will be released within the next week, and will include support for DG 2.7 as well as a few other neat features. If you would like to help out in development, please email me and let me know! If there is any feature you want implemented, please just let us know! All bug reports should be handled through the SourceForge interface. Thanks everyone, and happy downloading! -- Northern Indiana ESC Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... Yes, after nearly a year of no real release, I finally have made one. This one includes several updates. You can snag the file from http://sf.net/projects/dgwebminmodule Here is the ChangeLog: - Implemented per-file edit ACL's for webmin users - Auto-restart DG after file change is now possible - Language changes: - Added note and forgetrestart - Added index_autorestart - Dropped "dg" from index_startdg, index_stopdg, and index_restartdg - Dropped "file path" from conf_ variables for banned/exception files - Added index_done - Process control is now done through a sub-routine Please use this release above all other versions. Also, beat the thing to death and let me know what breaks, or if something is just really spiffy and you like it alot. If you find a bug, please submit a bug report through the SourceForge page (listed above). If you can fix a bug, please also do so and submit a patch through the SourceForge site as well. Oh, and if you have some time available and would like CVS access to the module, please just say something! This thing has a ways to go yet, and needs alot of code cleanup. Thanks everyone! Howdy all. I'm having trouble with one of the features in the log analyzer. I'd like to get the log analyzer reading the logfileformat from the DG config file. I've got the sub calls correct I think, but it's just not working. If someone could take a peek at the CVS version of the module and see what I'm doing wrong it would be muchly appreciated. I've released version 0.5.3. It includes some changes Jimmy Myrick made to the log analyzer. It now supports CSV style logs! Give it a whirl and let me know how it goes! If I could get a few people to report back on this one, it would be muchly appreciated. I'd really like to get some feedback on this release. If it doesn't seem to have any bugs, I'll release it to the world and announce it on the DG-Announce list. I'm sure alot of people want support for 2.6/2.7! Ok, not quite yet, but it's close! This version provides DG 2.6 and 2.7 support. It's available under CVS and from the SourceForge project page. Just a message to let everyone know that I'm not dead, just in hiatus :P I've come out of my vacation time from the module, and today I'll be working on several things. One is that I would love to get ACL support added in so we can limit what webmin users can do. I'd also like to get log file analyzing/reporting solidified. I want to support all available DG log file formats, and I want it to be searchable by various criterion and the results to be exportable into the following formats: HTML, CSV, plain text. Any others? If you have a bug you know of, or if there is something you want the module to do, please tell me, as I'm getting into the groove today and it's likely that I'll either get the option in or at least start it. This week has been dedicated to webmin modules here at work. -- ------------------------------------------------ | Northern Indiana Educational Services Center | ------------------------------------------------ | Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... | | Certified Linux Administrator - Master Level | | Phone: (574) 254-0111 x113 | | Fax: (574) 254-0148 | ------------------------------------------------ |

I'm stupid. I put the binary_file checking code ABOVE the page header information. So if your config was brandy new, or the binary was moved/deleted, then you would get a "Error Bad Header" message when launching the webmin module. I've fixed that. So with that, here is version 0.3.7a, released as the latest Devel version. If there are any other bugs that anyone has found, please let me know. Preferrably if you could submit them by the sourceforge project page, that would be great. That way everyone can see the bug and what it's fixing status is. To do this, go to the project page, and scroll down to the "Tracker" section. Click on Bugs. Then click on "Submit New" Thanks! SourceForge Project Page for dgwebminmodule -- ------------------------------------------------ | Northern Indiana Educational Services Center | ------------------------------------------------ | Adam Kennedy - ake...@ni... | | Certified Linux Administrator - Master Level | | Phone: (574) 254-0111 x113 | | Fax: (574) 254-0148 | ------------------------------------------------ |

Yes folks, you read correctly. Version 0.3.7 of the webmin module has officially been released. You can snag it at SourceForge Project Page for dgwebminmodule Here is the ChangeLog: - Fixed bug where module was reporting unsupported version instead of giving an error that it couldn't find the DG binary. (Adam Kennedy) - French translation (JF Rameau) - DG AntiVirus plugin support (Jason Pattie) - Fixed typos in HTML code for various pages (Jason Pattie) - .Include support added for lists (Jason Pattie) - Various misc. file path corrections (Jason Pattie) - Better version checking for DG (Jason Pattie) - Changed config file writing method. It now updates the config file with the new values rather than writing out an entirely new file. (Jason Pattie) This is one of the more exciting releases for this module in a long time. Beat it to death and report bugs to the Project page on SourceForge please. If you would like to contribute to the module, have ideas, or anything else, please email me.
