Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Notion ended up replacing a bunch of different tools I was bouncing between for notes, tasks, project planning, and random ideas. Having everything in one place makes it way easier to stay organized, especially when work gets hectic. The thing I like most is how flexible it is. You can build pages however you want, create databases, track projects, save documentation, or just use it as a giant digital notebook. It feels like you can make it fit almost any workflow.
  • Notion is a very flexible platform that aims to be able to do almost anything as it relates to collaboration and managing the day to day activities of your team. We originally liked the fact that it offered this all in one approach and would help keep things centralized. It is also easy to use with drag and drop functionality the core to basically every aspect of the product.
  • Flexible workspace allows managing notes, tasks, docs & project. Intuitive editing & toggling with toggleable views.
  • Notion, a versatile all in one workspace, presents several advantages for users seeking a flexible & collaborative digital environment. Its block based structure offers a modular & customizable approach to content creation.
  • Notion is an incredibly flexible platform that integrates project management, documentation, note-taking, and collaboration functionalities into a single program. It supports use cases for both personal and professional use.

Cons

  • When you're first getting started, it can feel like a lot. There are so many options that it's easy to spend more time setting things up than actually using them. I've also noticed that larger pages can get a little slow sometimes.
  • For our team the flexibility ended up being a bit of a downfall. We ended up with so many different pages and areas of the app where people were adding or creating content or tasks. In the end we decided to pair it all back and now use Notion for SoPs and as a wiki only.
  • A very steep learning curve for complex workspaces & databases. Lacks advanced permissions for secure collaboration.
  • The abundance of features initially overwhelm a new user, People may need to take a basic training in order to explore full potential of Notion from start.
  • Although Notion provides offline access, its offline features are not as extensive as those of its online counterpart. When working offline, users might discover that some functionalities aren't available or that updates take longer to sync.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Our organization has found a valuable ally in this software, which assists us in the planning, monitoring and resolution of tasks in a very efficient way, unlike other solutions available in the market, its greatest strength lies in the seamless integration with other systems, and also its application is lightweight and accessible, which facilitates its use in different devices, one of the most outstanding features is the ability to enter tasks and deadlines using natural language, this not only simplifies the process, but also makes the tool more intuitive and friendly for all team members. Since we started using this program, we have experienced a noticeable improvement in our productivity and organization. We are very satisfied with the results and continue to explore new features that will allow us to further optimize our workflows.
  • The real-time tracking and analysis of campaigns significantly elevated the efficacy of our marketing strategies.
  • Interface: I really like the interface of Todoist, it is great and simple to use and understand. Apps: There is apps for every device you can think of. Windows, mac, Linux (Snap and AppImage), Android and iOS. There is also extensions for Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari.
  • I really like that there is a Gmail plugin so my To-Do list can live inside my Gmail dashboard. Also, the free plan has worked with and I haven't found the need for any premium features.
  • This simple task manager allows syncing across all devices and helps keep track of workloads and job requirements on the fly.

Cons

  • On previous occasions I have faced issues with service interruptions that really complicated my experience, as instead of maintaining a constant connection, the app stopped working properly, resulting in missing important messages, I have also enabled the push notifications feature for some items I completed on the desktop, however my phone keeps reminding me to finish those tasks, which can be a bit frustrating. To improve the user experience, it would be very helpful to create additional documentation that includes tips and tricks for both new users and those who already have experience with the app, this could range from basic instructions on how to set up the app correctly to advanced tips to optimize its use, because including practical examples and step-by-step guides would greatly help users to get the most out of all available functionalities, which in turn could minimize problems such as service outages and improve notification management, in short, more educational resources would enrich the user experience and encourage a more effective use of the application.
  • Some features had a learning curve initially; however, the responsive customer support.
  • One thing I didn't like is that on the free plan, you do not have Notifications, which is sometimes annoying for me.
  • Sometimes it can be buggy and needs to be refreshed to work properly.
  • Interface can be cumbersome, requires a lot of work on users to properly next tasks to achieve best outcomes.
