Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It is easy to use and the recordings were eye-opening! We would show recordings of users struggling with certain aspect of our large site to committee members, and everyone was amazed. We use those results to not only implement need change, but visual proof to justify those changes. Hotjar has an easy to use interface and simple integration with other apps. The ability to gather feedbacks and surveys. The heatmaps and recordings are user-friendly, meaning that everyone can understand what they're seeing without advanced training. The feedback and survey tools are extremely reliable and feature-rich too. Implementation is super-easy. Hotjar provides an easy way to see the views and interaction your website are getting. Even with being a "numbers person" I still enjoy this platform and how it makes it so easy to view the data provided. It helps my team and I understand what things need to stay the same on our website and what changes need to be made. Hotjar offers best of the class visual analytics through heat map. it is a great tool to study the user behaviour of your visitors and helps in deciding and placing the call to action buttons on the most interacted section of the page. The integration part is very easy for most of the website and one bonus with it- doesn't affect the page loading time. Cons None that I can think of - it has done so much for us in a short time. Reports are helpful but required more option for customization It would be great to see the data in real time, perhaps even for recordings. The tool satisfies our needs to full extent nonetheless. So far I haven't found any cons, but I am newer to the platform. It is one of the best and easy to use virtual analytics. No Cons. For better understanding and execution of the conversion process, this functionality is essential. Help to find where users are struggling on websites and apps. Provides the best solutions for improving user experience. - Everything is briefly represented on the dashboard. - You can record sessions for auditing. - It saves every detail of traffic from IP to location and gives an accurate report. Since using Smartlook, we have been able to track our website activity in detail; we can get details of time, location, unlimited recordings of visitor sessions through our website, and more. It is as helpful as it is easy to access and use; we can devise strategies and implement improvements to provide a better experience, and their technical support is exceptional. Setting up screen and sharing recordings with my clients is now easy and within minutes. I addition it also allows UID to be passed to the Smartlook app. Cons Although Smartlook offers strong visual analytics, some users might feel that it has less complex reporting choices than more specialist analytics tools. Extra tools could be needed for businesses with complicated reporting requirements. There are no cons about this product, but I feel price should be more affordable. The price could be more reasonable. Mobile applications need few improvements. I have had no problems with this tool; it has been beneficial. However, I consider that the price is somewhat high and may represent a limitation for small businesses. It has crucial analytical data but it would even be more great if Heatmaps can show % clicks on map.
