About

Google Sheets is an AI-powered online spreadsheet platform designed to help individuals and teams organize, analyze, and visualize data collaboratively. The platform includes Gemini AI features that allow users to create formulas, generate trackers, analyze datasets, and build data visualizations using simple text prompts. Google Sheets supports real-time collaboration with live co-editing, comments, version history, and customizable sharing controls that help teams work together from any location. Users can streamline workflows with smart tables, pre-built templates, Connected Sheets for BigQuery and Looker data, and integrations with third-party applications such as Salesforce, Intuit, and Asana. The platform also enhances Microsoft Excel files by adding collaborative editing, intelligent suggestions, and task management capabilities directly within spreadsheets.

About

Row Zero is the best spreadsheet for big data. Row Zero matches the experience of traditional spreadsheets but can handle 1+ billion rows, process data much faster, and connect live to your data warehouse and other data sources. Row Zero spreadsheets are powerful enough to pull entire database tables into a spreadsheet, letting non-technical users build live pivot tables, graphs, models, and metrics on data from your data warehouse. Row Zero also offers advanced security features and is cloud-based, empowering organizations to eliminate ungoverned CSV exports and locally stored spreadsheets from their org. With Row Zero, you can easily open, edit, and share multi-GB files (CSV, parquet, txt, etc.) Row Zero has all of the spreadsheet features you know and love, but was built for big data. If you know how to use Excel or Google Sheets, you can get started with ease.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • (+) Free of cost, provides a cloud space of 15 GB. (+) Easy to use and has almost all of the Excel features. (+) Integration with google drive, sharing of files is easy where you can just share a link without actually sharing the file. (+) Realtime collaborations can be done, which is very helpful when working in teams.
  • It has all the features (that I know of) that Excel has, but it is free, saves everything to your drive, makes documents easily shareable, and opens Excel documents!
  • I love all Google cloud-based applications and google sheets are no different. The sheets are easy to manage and the templates provided by Google comes in handy on various occasions. The sheet can be easily shared with my colleagues via email or a shareable link. They also have a mobile application to quickly make small changes If you are traveling and have no access to your laptop.
  • Very easy way to manage and use data to understand. Also easy to collaborate in real-time with others.
  • Very user friendly and convenient to use. I like being able to have spreadsheets shared among teammates, with everyone having the ability to edit and work on one cohesive project.

Cons

  • (-) Slows down when you try to open a file of 20-30 MB (-) Not all the excel features are available in the sheets. (-) The mobile application does not work well, navigation on the mobile application is not very easy.
  • I'm sure it lacks some of the features that Excel has, but I do not know if that's the case.
  • The mobile application for google sheet needs improvement. It becomes very difficult to edit the sheet using the mobile app. More features can be added to Google Sheets. If the data and number of rows are increased the sheet takes a long time and sometimes fails to open, My suggestion would be to create a desktop application to make it more useable for large projects.
  • There is some learning that takes place to use to it's full potential.
  • With a full spreadsheet it doesn't always allow you to view everything in a cell easily which can be frustrating when working on projects.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • - good price comparing to competitors - can create your own scripts - design similar to excel - ability to create sheets within workbooks

Cons

  • - no ability to save file manually, you have to wait and pray it won't disconnect - "out of memory" when copying significant amount of data, or doing some bigger operations, and it restarts your file from the last save - workbooks constantly losing connection, especially when working with bigger files - shame for a big data product - you can upload csv files, but in practice they have to be smaller - bigger files will cause connection lost when importing - lacks some of excel features that are crucial - filtering works as bad as you imagine - when you delete or cut cells you filtered, those hidden will be affected too
