WinMerge default colors are pretty dense so you may need to change colors to lighter colors to get a proper gray scale output. Or are you asking that WinMerge should somehow modify output to more b/w printer friendly color scales? I'm afraid that would be quite a laborous task given we allow user to select the colors... Hello win...@li...! I can't tell exactly when WinMerge started to have this problem, but I slightly remember, that is started with 2.10, maybe 2.08 had too. I am not sure. This happens to me when I have opened some files in Delphi which are just compared. I have never had (I really don't remember it) any crash when compared files were used by any application. My customs haven't changed long time ago and therefore I think that this crash of WinMerge was not in older builds. It would take me more time to close always IDE and then to compare and start it again. PS: I haven't changed anything around OS, IDE, ... Only Windows and WinMerge updates. You can fix your files by opening them to some text/hex editor and replace those zero-value bytes with some other characters, e.g. spaces. I modified menu item names and reordered them and added some comments
to a program for Python 2.4. WinMerge shows the difference quite well.
That is, program A became B by me manually making mods. Months later a
new versions of the program for 2.5 with some plot graphics became
available. Call this C, which has the same menus as A. I'd like to
simply merge B with C, so that my menu and other changes are now in C.
Does that seem possible? In fact will Winmerge actually merge in this
manner? I guess I could take the plunge and see if the results are
agreeable.<br>

I've downladed WinMerge (last realease) right now and i try it on my Virtual PC machine. I looks great and it has some feature more than the software-comparison that I used since last year (DiffMerge) I try WinMerge on my virtual PC because I saw that your software isn't digitally signed and it hasn't some Hashes like MD5 or/and SHA1 for verify the file thath I download. Can you tell me the public hashe codes so I have the security thath Winmerge downloaded from the web isn't corrupted or malicios by other software during the download?
I would like to use WinMerge but only after I can verify the correct hashes..
