The issue here is almost certainly that the login you have specified on the master system for the slave is not 'root' or 'admin'. By default, only those two users are allowed to be used for RPC as they have complete access to all Webmin features. If your master user on the slave system is called something other than 'root' or 'admin', you will need to do the following: - Go to the Webmin Users module on the slave system - Click on the Global ACL link next to the master user's name - Change the 'Can accept RCP calls' option to Yes , and click Save - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: "Vern" <ve...@cw...> Subj: [webmin-l] Clustering and RPC issues Date: Sat 29 Oct 2005 2:47 pm Size: 851 bytes To: "Webmin List" <web...@li...> I have been trying for the longest time to setup clustering and every time I do I get the following error message: Invalid RPC login to 192.168.0.11 Any ideas on what's going wrong? Just curious - by default, Webmin doesn't include rfc822Mailbox or mail as a standard attributes and I've always added it for the base mailboxes. There is no standard for a mail alias unless you are talking about the objectclass nisMailAlias which is not an attribute so I'm not entirely sure where you are headed when you say the 'mail alias will be automatically enforced' but I'm interested. Speaking of the bind template file, is there anyway to setup bind defaults when using VirtualMin? I have the "Additional template file" setup with 3 extra NS records which works fine when using bind to create the DNS record, but Virtualmin ignores it. Thanks |

It is the same format as a standard BIND zone file, although without the SOA section. That would be an interesting escalation of the power of the LDAP Users and Groups module. Considering that some of the attributes are necessarily duplicated within the DSA and some are necessarily unique, an option to check for uniqueness would have to be very configurable. Sorry, I think I know how to do it. I need to put the values in a file, and put the name of the file in the box. Thanks for your answer. Another question, for this module: I don't know how to make a 'menu' parameter. When I define a parameter as a menu, and introduce the value (For example jamiecameron,Jamie Cameron) in the box, and save the command, I can't see any value. Again, what I'm doing wrong? Hello, I can't get this to work. It was previously working but now has stopped. The module loads, I get the login window, login but then nothing happens. The only error I see is: Oct 29 06:59:16 sshd[17209]: Did not receive identification string from 10.10.0.3 I tried logging in with a ssh client and sshd is working. Thanks |

Hi Craig, I am talking about e-mail aliases which are entered in the Mail Aliases field. That stores the entry in the user's alias LDAP attribute. Yes, that should work..
