Hi Janie, Any chance you can be bribed to add an 'Export' theme provision in the theme's module, similar to what you added in the Webmin/Usermin module sections? %%_and_if_your_really_feeling_generous_%% consider adding a default 'export' directory option to the Usermin/Webmin/Theme Export modules :-) -GRant |

Hi all, I have some custom modules. They all use the standard webmin provisions ... with a few hacks. How does one assing a version to a particular module such that when changes are made, and new module installed, a month later we can look back and see what 'version' of the module is being used? -Grant |

Hi All, Could someone please advise me on the settings in the PHP module that shows up in the virtual Domain module page under Apache. I'm trying to get a couple PHP websites with MySQL DBs that I imported to work but they seem to fall apart after the session ID call. I note that all the session IDs are being written to the /tmp directory instead of the database. This would be Apache 2.2.0 with php 4.4 and MySQL 5.0.18 on slackware 10.2. These were known to run on a redhat Apache 1.3.3 setup. |

Hi all, I am curious to know what everyone is using for a pop3 server. I am asking on this list because, I am investigating the posibility of installing a new one, and of course, I want to new one to be supported by Webmin and USermin. I am currently using vm-pop3d, which server me well, but is stagnating, it seems Jeremy is quite busy these days and may have little time for furthering the developemnt. What I am specificly looking for is a pop server that supports the use of virtual accounts, and can retain Openwebmail and Webmin Usermin supported. Here is an idea of a setup ... password files grouped by domain in (standard UNIX crypt hasing). /etc/virtual/domain/passwd (file) Virtual users mailfile: /home/domainname.com/mail/virtualusernamehere Alias files: /home/domainname.com/mail/aliases (not relevent I know). mail spool dir is a link to the actual mail dir, example /var/spool/virtual/dommainname.com -> /home/domainname.com/mail /var/spool/virtual/anotherdomain.com -> /home/anotherdomain.com/mail ... Virtual POP3 server with TLS/SSL capabilities would be perfect! Any and all replied appreciated, -Grant |

When you say "not effectively" you mean it wouldn't work? If I could type on my browser http://www.thataddress.com/ and have it proxied to http://www.thataddress.com:8080/ then it would be great because none of my clients would need to know what "non-standard" port the website is being forwarded. Now, with this in mind I know that I can install multiple SSL certificates in one shared IP where all web addressed would use a non-standard port. Indeed, I could secure many websites sharing the same ip without having obligating my customers to know port numbers. Is it possible? As far as I'm aware of there is no solution for virtual hosting multiple domains with SSL on a single IP without using different ports, not because of a web server restriction but a protocol one. So when you opened the SSL connection to temp.com it would connect to port 443 which would send whatever SSL certificate was configured for that IP, then your browser would send the HTTP request which would be relayed to the other port; the end result is you would still wind up with an SSL / site mismatch. Ultimately if you want to offer SSL hosting with non shared SSL certificates you need to either give each host it's own IP, or assign it a non standard port on a shared IP. You could proxy over http effectively (this is how we offer both PHP4 and PHP5 support on our apache servers) but not effectively with SSL. Hi Ravi, A cert can only be used for a *single* website. Hi Jamie, Now I know why I couldn't see the option to manage ssl. I didn't have it enabled on my module config. Now, this secure certificate will be used for every website hosted on my server. Perhaps you have the Webmin temp files directory set to /var/.webmin . Jamie, Thanks once more for claying things. Whenever backups are triggered a directory called .webmin is created in /var . The command df -h shows var decreasing in size as the backups proceed.
