Hi. First post here, apologies if it's been covered: I'm running Virtualmin 2.611 on debian/testing. All works fine for most part, but I recently discovered the Subversion and WebDav modules for virtualmin and installed them via webmin. However, these modules are hidden from my Virtualmin users and I cannot find an option for enabling them in the Virtualmin config or the individual module config. Under "Plugin Modules", these are available, but selecting from the list and hitting configure does not give any relevant options. Any suggestions? Regards John H |

Hello, Yes..it's me again :-) I was wondering if is there any option to restrict the access to pop3 for a user. Let's say that I have user A and B. User A may read his email using webmail and/or using any pop3 client. But the user B can only access his email using the webmail interface. Thanks in advance, Bruno Sousa |

Hello, Is there any option, to let a user create an alias for his email account? Thanks in advance, Bruno Sousa |

I googled a little bit and browse on the webmin conf, i haven't found where put my proxy informations. Could you please tell me where should i put them & sorry if it's a n00b question ;) Johan |

Yes, that's what I'm referring to :-) No, I haven't seen this anywhere else. And I guess that it won't be a probl= em unless the user is allowed to somehow enter text to describe something o= r otherwise supply parameters. -joho ------------------------- Ursprungligt Meddelande: Fr=E5n: Jamie Cameron <jca...@we...> Till: web...@li... Datum: fredag, 28 april 2006 18:58 Ah, so you are referring to the emails sent out by Webmin? Apart from the status module (which I'll fix), are there any others in which you've seen this problem? Most don't support any translated or user-substituted text in the message. |

In this particular case, it's not a "domain name" per se, since it's a "fre= e text" label where the user can enter anything s/he wants. -joho ------------------------- Ursprungligt Meddelande: Fr=E5n: Barry <we...@i1...> Till: web...@li... Datum: fredag, 28 april 2006 17:40 Independent of the reasonable request for proper encoding of email=20 messages, doesn't that server name "extend" any standards about what=20 characters are valid in a domain name? I am not as up to date on that=20 detail as I used to be... |

That is odd, as it uses the same mechanism as always. The change I (attempted) to implement was recursive deletion of LDAP entries under the base DN for the user's mailbox. Is this deleting anything on your system (like perhaps some of the addressbook entries), or is it having no effect at all? - Jamie |

So now that you have installed Authen::PAM, what is the log file you quoted below showing? If still the same, then it is not installed in the path expected. If different, then that might be a clue :) Best, Barry Aaron Gray wrote: > AFAIK there is only the version from the default Redhat 9 > instillation. AFAIK there is only the version from the default Redhat 9 instillation. =
I have not installed another version of Perl myself. It does not look =
like there is another version, but how can I test this properly ?

Could it be that you have several (at least two) versions of perl on =
the system, and you are installing it from the command line to a version =
that is not what WebMin uses?
I've had this difficulty myself???
>>> an...@be... 5/1/2006 2:29:35 >>>
It has :-
authpriv.* =
/var/log/secure
The fact the the Perl module Authen::PAM is still not being seen and =
producing an error in /var/webmin/miniserv.error when doing a service =
restart on Webmin seems to be the crux of the problem.
Installing the Perl module does not help though. I am confused.

That is really odd ..
Does the /etc/syslog.conf file on yoru system contain a line like :
authpriv.*;auth.* =
/var/log/secure
to log messages to /var/log/secure?

No only to say Webmin is starting in /var/log/secure nothing else.

How about your /var/log/secure file, or /var/log/messages .. =
does anything appear in there?
