Currently, Webmin wouldn't handle this too well.. What does the /etc/sudoers file contain on Ubuntu by default? - Jamie |

OK, I see the cause of this bug now .. Webmin isn't parsing your
haresources file properly.
I will fix this in the next release.

Thanks for this release. I installed it on my laptop running under Ubuntu DapperDrake (6.06). It's working perfectly. The only problem I can see is the following... On Ubuntu, root access is disabled by default. Users are using sudo to perform admin tasks. While installing your package, how will webmin configure itself to use the root account if the password is unknown from the users? On my laptop, this wasn't an issue because I've reset the root password so I can use it. I'll try it tonight on my desktop, were root account is with the default... -- +-------------------------------------------------------------+ Albert Charron +-------------------------------------------------------------+ Linux Counter member #157482 Registered computers: 195048, 164158, 279022, 323762, 328344 +-------------------------------------------------------------+ |

Hi everyone, If you run Webmin on a Debian or Ubuntu system, a new .deb package is available from : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin_1.290.deb Unlike previous Debian packages of Webmin, this one was created by me and so includes the latest Webmin release. It also puts all standard modules into a single package, just like the RPM and tar.gz distributions. This will eventually make its way into Debian's APT repository, but I am releasing it on www.webmin.com first for testing purposes. Upgrading from the old Debian package of Webmin *should* work, but has not been fully tested. - Jamie |

<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV class=RTE> <P>What I mean by this is that, the cloned module doesn't show up in the webmin panel for me to add commands to it like the custom commands one does. It is almost as if the cloned module isn't there, and instead just another link to the custom commands module. The only evidence of it existing is the link to it on the usermin index. What I want is basically an exact copy of custom commands with the link in webmin for editing commands as well. <BR></P></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #a0c6e5 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"><FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 11px; FONT-FAMILY: tahoma,sans-serif"> <HR color=#a0c6e5 SIZE=1> <DIV></DIV>From: <I>"Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...></I><BR>Reply-To: <I>Webmin users list <web...@li...></I><BR>To: <I>Webmin users list <web...@li...></I><BR>Subject: <I>Re: [webmin-l] Changing module title</I><BR>Date: <I>Tue, 11 Jul 2006 17:13:03 -0700 (PDT)</I><BR>MIME-Version: <I>1.0</I><BR>X-Originating-IP: <I>216.239.45.4</I><BR>Received: <I>from lists-outbound.sourceforge.net ([66.35.250.225]) by bay0-mc5-f15.bay0.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.2444); Tue, 11 Jul 2006 17:13:17 -0700</I><BR>Received: <I>from sc8-sf-list1-new.sourceforge.net (unknown [10.3.1.93])by sc8-sf-spam2.sourceforge.net (Postfix) with ESMTPid E047B12560; Tue, 11 Jul 2006 17:13:15 -0700 (PDT)</I><BR>Received: <I>from sc8-sf-mx2-b.sourceforge.net ([10.3.1.92]helo=mail.sourceforge.net)by sc8-sf-list1-new.sourceforge.net with esmtp (Exim 4.43)id 1G0SLq-0005fQ-5efor web...@li...; Tue, 11 Jul 2006 17:13:14 -0700</I><BR>Received: <I>from e2.4.5646.static.theplanet.com ([70.86.4.226]helo=ee.4.5646.static.theplanet.com)by mail.sourceforge.net with esmtp (Exim 4.44) id 1G0SLp-0001AQ-DWfor web...@li...; Tue, 11 Jul 2006 17:13:14 -0700</I><BR>Received: <I>by ee.4.5646.static.theplanet.com (Postfix, from userid 517)id 29804290DB7; Tue, 11 Jul 2006 19:13:03 -0500 (CDT)</I><BR> <DIV></DIV><BR>That is certainly not supposed to happen ..<BR>Does each clone have its own separate /etc/webmin/custom* directory? The point is exactly that: APche is up and running on the server where webmin lies ! But webmin on BOTH server shows the resource DOWN And if I get the resource on the second server , the resource really move from one to the other, but again webmin on BOTH server shows the resource DOWN. when the resource is on the second member (srvlnxc2) : srvlnxc2:/usr/local/mysql # /etc/init.d/apache2 status Checking for httpd2: running extract from netstat -n -a :::80 :::* LISTEN but webmin still says: DOWN (RED) here is my haresources (exactly the same, copied on both nodes) srvlnxc2:/etc/ha.d # cat haresources srvlnxc1 192.168.1.50/24/192.168.1.255 apache2 ip addres for srvlnxc1: 192.168.1.51 ip addres for srvlnxc1: 192.168.1.52 ip addres for "cluster": 192.168.1.50 I had to use srvlnx01 instead of srvlnx01.frameweb.it becouse uname -n reports srvlnx01; actually I would have preferred to use srvlnx01.frameweb.it , but I was not able to "convince" uname -n to show that....... Webmin tries to check if a resource is up or not by seeing if the IP address for that resource is active on the server that Webmin is running on. So if Apache is active but on a different server in the cluster, it will be shown as down .. - Jamie ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
