Dear roboptim users, We are pleased to announce the creation of a new plugin implementing Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm for non-linear least square optimization problems. The preliminary version can be found at git://github.com/laas/roboptim-core-plugin-cminpack.git This plugin wraps cminpack implementation. RobOptim core and RobOptim trajectory have been pushed to the /stable/ repositories of Fedora 11/12. It means that these two packages can be installed without any extra configuration. Available packages are: - roboptim-core - roboptim-core-devel - roboptim-core-doc - roboptim-trajectory - roboptim-trajectory-devel - roboptim-trajectory-doc See http://roboptim.sourceforge.net/install for more information. RobOptim website has been updated. The new page is clearer, easier to maintain and contains information about installation (including the new Fedora prebuilt packages). To enable Fedora testing repository on your computer, please follow the instructions available at: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Updates_Testing Then, you can install roboptim-core and roboptim-core-devel like any other packages. The RobOptim team is pleased to announce the stable release of roboptim-core 0.3. RobOptim is a generic C++ non-linear optimization library which focuses on humanoid robotics' optimization problems. The "core" level is generic and solve generic non-linear optimization problems. This version of roboptim-core is distributed under LGPLv3 license. This is the third public release of this software which should be much more stable than the previous ones. As the last release was done about six months ago, many changes have been made to the library and it is recommended to update your code to this new version. The roboptim-cfsqp-plugin 0.2 version has also been released, however due to CFSQP license, this package can not be made available online. RobOptim is a generic C++ non-linear optimization library which focuses on humanoid robotics' optimization problems. The "core" level is generic and solve generic non-linear problems. This release is the second public release. Hence, it is expected that the packages will contain several bugs and that some features will be missing. In particular, as long as the software has not reached the release 1.0, the libraries will *not* be backward compatible. It is mainly due to the fact that the interface is not yet normalized.
