Looking to put some spring in your step? Ready for your big break? Look no further. Wild Brush Energy Symbol: WBRS Current Price: Around $0.05 Short Term Target: $0.12 Long Term Target: $0.40 The energy sector is THE place to be, with some energy companies seeing appreciation of 400% or more this year alone! WBRS is involved in some of the most exciting gas plays in North America. It's a proven winner in a red hot market. But that's just the beginning. Rumor has it that there may soon be a merger between WBRS and another major energy player with close ties to the company. In fact this major player's stock was up 50% Friday on strong volume as insiders took positions. We believe that WBRS is looking at the same rapid appreciation. Once the merger is announced there will be a scramble to get in. Play it smart. Take a position BEFORE the announcement and ride this one all the way to the bank! Tell to everyone about this message.Post it on the forum. |

So use the 'linecolour' directive available in recent versions (release
candidates, CVS head) to pick grays for your lines.

You would have, if you had read any of the relevant documentation. 'help
splot', for starters, has a statement containing this phrase:
except that the plotting styles available to splot are limited to
splot doesn't do boxes, so there's nothing to be said about how those
boxes might be generated.

More precisely: How does GNUplot connect points together when using "with boxes" in `splot'? I have splots here with nice grids when I use "with lines" but changing it to "with boxes" yields unreadable plots. Thanks, Ludovic. |

Hello Is it possible to pass arguments to a Gnuplot script (in Linux on the command line), e.g. a file name for a data file. I would like to do the following kind of script: #! /usr/bin/gnuplot set title ARGV[1] plot ARGV[1].data using ($16 * 8):20 with linespoints notitle pause -1 This script should generate a plot with the title given as first command line argument, an with the graph constructed from the first command line argument added with the suffix .data. Hi, Hans-Bernhard Bröker <HBB...@t-...> writes: > Well, then don't use black&white PostScript. What colour did you expect > your black&white PostScript printer to be able to print? Well, we never know. ;-) Seriously, I'm just not used to inserting colored figures in a b&w document, and I thought it might be possible to tweak GNUplot into doing it. Besides, how does "with boxes" work with `splot'? I fail to understand how it connects point together. Or is it just supposed to be used with `plot'? Thanks, Ludovic. |

Hi, I'm plotting several surfaces with `splot' on a single graph. I would like to color those surfaces, or the lines that make them up, according to what they represent (i.e., not according to their height, as `pm3d' does). IOW, I would like to have each surface painted with its own color. In color PostScript output, this is what happens by default. However, in black & white PostScript, GNUplot automatically uses variants of dashed and dotted lines instead of colored lines, which I would like to avoid. Specifying `with palette' (and having a single-color palette) doesn't do the trick since there can be only one palette at a time, for all surfaces. Any idea? Thanks, Ludovic. |

You cannot make big returns on an oil company AFTER huge profits are reported. You also can't make them by getting in AFTER successful drilling results. Everyone needs a helping hand at getting in BEFORE the big events, and that's what we are giving you here. Great product, great sector, tightly held, with great results expected any day. Cana Petroleum is going to make you a winner! Symbol: CNPM Current Price: Around $0.78 Projected Price: $5.40 Watch it on Tuesday, December 5th. This one is going to have you wearing a big smile all day long! Major oil discovery? We are not permitted to say at this point. All we can say is that this one is going to see amazing appreciation in a very short period of time! This is your opportunity. Excel with CNPM! |

hi
i am learning java programing
i dont know how to plot gnuplot
i have to do the following program
i have completed up to second point
now i have difficulty in plotting gnuplot from the data
so please send me information about this "GNUPLOT"
this is my question
In the theory of telecommunication networks, the probability that a call
offered to a group of *r* circuits finds that all *r* circuits are busy is
given by Erlang's Loss Formula:
r / r i
a / --- a
E(r,a) = --- / \ ---
r! / / i!
/ ---
i=0
where *a* is the traffic offered. However, the recursive formula:
1 r 1
----- = 1 + --- --------- r = 1, 2, 3, ...
E(r,a) a E(r-1,a)
with *E(0,a) = 1* offers a more efficient method of computing loss
probabilities.
- Write a Java program which takes the parameters *R* and *a* and
calculates *E(r,a), r = 1, 2, ... R*. Use the recursive version of
Erlang's loss formula. (45% of marks)
- Extend your program (25% of marks) to take the parameters *R, A* and
*L* be able to generate data for the functions *E(r,a), r = 1, 2, ...
R* in the range 0 <= *a* <= *A* and 10-*L* <= *E* <= 1. The horizontal
*a*-axis should have a linear scale. The vertical *E*-axis can be
linear but extra credit (5% of marks) will be given to those who wish to
make the vertical axis have a logarithmic scale.
- Use your program to generate data for
R = 20, A = 12, L = 3
- Write out the data into a file, and plot the file data using a
spreadsheet program or graphing package such as gnuplot.
thankin you

Not really. You only have to use this if it's not already set. "Batch" is the opposite of interactive, and 'set mouse' is about interactivity. For some cases (but not for "-persist filename" as the command line arguments), you can use 'pause mouse'. See the documentation. |
