Sorry,
this ought to say:
-DUSE_X11_MULTIBYTE
and I seriously do not understand why this happens.
Take care

Dear listmembers,
this is just to inform you that CVS as of today cannot be built without
specifying -DX11_USES_MULTIBYTE on the commandline.
If you don't, you get the error:
gplt_x11.c: In function ‘pr_font’:
gplt_x11.c:5552: error: ‘CODESET’ undeclared (first use in this function)
The reason is caused by these lines in gplt_x11.c:
#ifdef USE_X11_MULTIBYTE
# include <locale.h>
# include <langinfo.h>
# include <X11/Xlocale.h>
#endif
whoever can fix ...
Thank you for working on gnuplot!
Take care

Dear all, After having spend a few hour trying to find info about this, I've resorted to asking the community.: Suppose I want to plot the function x**2 in a certain viewing rectangle. I type: plot [-3:3] [-10:10] x**2 - 3 What should I add to also DISPLAY lines x = 0 and y = 0 with my graph of x**2 - 3, so that I can see the intercepts? Dear Christian,
what about using pdf rather than the epslatex plot? I do not know too exactly
about your target output, but I think that you can simplify your life by
switching to pdflatex and pdf-graphics - I did not find (as yet ...) any
reason to return to (IMHO) more complex steps to realize a graph.
And by using the postscript terminal you can easily achieve high quality
graphics with high quality axes scaling and so on and so forth ....
Just my 2 cents here ...
gnuplot -> postscript, ghostscript -> pdf
(and if you need further assistance I can help you with getting the resulting
graph exactly in the size you need for latex, so the \includegraphics -
command needs nothing but a size information, let me know just in case ...)
Don't know whether this helps, but sometimes you can solve issues by
circumventing them ....
take care
Dieter

Hello,
Has anyone figured out how to deal with this or is the answer obvious but
missed by me? Maybe there is no obvious solution...
I have a latex document in a folder above my gnuplot epslatex plot. I have
two files which comprise the plot, say plot.tex and plot.eps. In my latex
file I \input{subfolder/plot.tex} and sure enough latex finds it. Of
course, it gets to the \includegraphics{plot} command contained in the
plot.tex file and it can't find the plot.eps file because it's looking not
in the plot folder, but in the latex document root directory.
I'd like to use epslatex but this is a problem which I cannot seem to
easily resolve. Your time for your thoughts on this would be most
appreciated.
Thanks,
Christian

hello,
it would be very nice if someone can help me. I have some datas in a file
with consecutive numbering.
All files are in the same directory. Is it possible to plot them all
automatically without a script like that i have copy. I think like a
programm with a loop for ... do... ? I have more than 250 data files which I
have to plot.
set grid
set title 'Data Netz Aus'
set xlabel 'Zeit [s]'
set terminal gif tiny size 1024,768
set y2label
set y2tics
set output 'Ausgabe_00.gif'
plot 'NetzAus_0.dat' using 1:2 with lines axes x1y1 title "Strom [A]", \
'NetzAus_0.dat' using 1:3 with lines axes x1y1 title "ISQSOLL_VF [A]",
\
'NetzAus_0.dat' using 1:4 with lines axes x1y2 title "UZK [V]", \
'NetzAus_0.dat' using 1:5 with lines axes x1y2 title "Frequenz [Hz]"
set output 'Ausgabe_01.gif'
plot 'NetzAus_1.dat' using 1:2 with lines axes x1y1 title "Strom [A]", \
'NetzAus_1.dat' using 1:3 with lines axes x1y1 title "ISQSOLL_VF [A]",

Hi all, I'm producing scatterplots of data with gnuplot, but as there is a lot of data all is plotted with pointsize 0.2 (for use with postscript output). Works very well, no problem here. The problem lies in the fact the legend is using also that tiny dot to indicate the different graphs. Is there a way to tell/persuade/fool the legend and using a line, a different symbol, or a bigger symbol than in the plot? Is there something like a 'nodata' option in gnuplot? that's what the 'for' instruction in gnuplot 4.3 (cvs-version) is for: splot for [a=1:5] Radius(ThetaMax,Dtheta,a)*cos(u),Radius(ThetaMax,Dtheta,a)*sin(u),0.0 produces a sequence of 5 circles. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/construcing-polar-grid-for-pm3d-data%3A-replot-reread-problem-tp19007463p19033830.html Sent from the Gnuplot - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

once you plotted the graph the key is there, that's normal.
for any changes you need to plot the graph again.
> I have tried to type unset key and clear but its does not

if you 'unset key' you need to plot the graph again,
but *not* by loading the script, then you a defining the
key again (1st line), and it's plotted.
after 'unset key' you could do a 'replot', then there will
be no keys anymore.
