I can't get this to install anymore. I used to have it working but reset my computer since the apo was updated. cant even get the installation process to come up now. Corsair Elite wireless (usb)
Usually that's caused by one or more audio devices of which the apps of Equalizer APO can't retrieved the info from the Windows registry. In your case it might be the Corsair. Try uninstalling this device completely and use a good registry cleaner to get rid the unused audio devices or any leftover audio devices in the registry.
I have DDU. Can I use that to uninstall? Do I also need to uninstall the icue program? Having that installed is the only way I can have 7.1 surround turned on. I've never done any of what you mentioned so I need step by step instructions.

DDU is for display drivers so that doesn't help. However, uninstalling ICUE might help. After this you can try to install Equalizer APO on your Corsair. Perhaps the APO of ICUE (read sound enhancements) are conflicting with the APO of Equalizer APO. So at least it's worth to figure out if ICUE is the problem.

For anyone having this problem, I had it with a recent Windows Update that broke everything.
I fixed it by uninstalling APO, Peace, and cleaning up the registry while I was at it (I used BCU but you use whatever you're confortable with). And I reinstalled everything from scratch. Fixed the issue when re-enabling APO, despite a post-mix error at first that got fixed by itself when it re-tried the install

I've made an Equalizer APO issue detection and solver app. Unfortunately it can't repair this issue I described but it may detect it.

DDU does have options to uninstall audio drivers. i did uninstall Corsair icue program and it didn't help.
