Yes, this is of course possible and I also remember multiple requests for these features. I thought that this missing feature would be resolved when VST support is available (which is what I am currently working on), but I can see now that this would not help Peace as it relies on builtin functionality. Compression and limiting normally need some lookahead to work, so these filters have to introduce some latency. At least, the algorithms that I saw do that and that's another reason why I didn't implement...

The first thing you can try is to disable the APOs that ship with the Realtek driver: Open the Configurator, select your device by clicking on its connection name, enable the troubleshooting options and uncheck both "Use original APO" checkboxes.

Could you state more precisely what you mean by "picked up"? Is the input device not selectable in other applications or is it just silent? If it is silent and you still use the default configuration, please remove the GraphicEQ command and see if that helps. I saw problems on one computer when applying the GraphicEQ command to a microphone. You may need to reboot to make sure that Equalizer APO can recover.

Unfortunately, this is not possible using Equalizer APO. APOs only process audio on one device and don't have access to other device's audio.. Instead of Virtual Audio Cable, I would propose to use Voicemeeter (which also uses a virtual audio device). It should work out of the box and you can select multiple devices to route the audio data to (maybe use the "Banana" version if you need more than two outputs). By the way, you might not need it, but the next version of Equalizer APO will support processing...

Thank you for pasting the registry file. This way, I could reproduce the problem. The sound device seems to be disconnected and because of that Equalizer APO is unable to determine the number of channels the device supports. The Analysis panel then tries to use zero channels, which is not working and leads to the crash. I will fix this by defaulting to show all possible 8 channels in this case, so that you can still do any analysis needed or manually select the correct number of channels using the...

Please have a look at the developer documentation in the Wiki. The file mpParser.h is part of the library muparserx. If you can use it, you should use the precompiled version that I attached to that Wiki page. fftw3.h is part of FFTW, as you guessed. Please follow the instructions on the Wiki page on how to install those libraries so that they can be found by Equalizer APO without changing the project configuration.

Normally, when the saved GUID does not exist, the Configuration Editor should just switch back to Default. So, in your case, the GUID {c832d1a6-f5f0-4ee7-bcfb-a3c7ee3d7322} was likely really existing in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render but there was something unusual with the contents of that registry key. If you are willing to help, please check if Configuration Editor crashes again if you set selectedDeviceGuid to {c832d1a6-f5f0-4ee7-bcfb-a3c7ee3d7322}....

The processing by Equalizer APO can not have been changed by upgrading to the Creators Update. What is more likely to have changed is your audio driver. For example, there might be some additional processing now that is done by APOs supplied by the audio driver, which you could try to disable: Open the Configurator, select your audio device by clicking on its connection name, activate the troubleshooting options and uncheck both "Use original APO" checkboxes.
