Really good system-wide EQ. Perfect for correcting speaker and room coloration. Comes with a nice interface to edit the settings in real time without having to open the text-based config files. I had to swap my speakers on my desk, and Equalizer APO works great with swapping the left and right channels of the SPDIF output of my Sound Blaster Z This is the one which works on Windows 10 apart from Dolby Atmos

Works great overall! Seems like you may run into audio issues when using this with Voicemeeter because I get some pops/crackling when enabling filters like Hesuvi's HRIRs.

Absolute garbage. Keeps requiring computer restart to install, but never actually installs. Probably a virus. Steer clear! UPDATE: 100% virus; attempted an uninstall, and now unable to play music on computer. Thanks for completely f***ing up my s***, a******s.

Hi, after a couple of years with equalizer apo I can say a few thing. It enhances your listening anyhow, but the equalizer itself introduces phase shifts. The good is that you can donwload vst (supported in the form of .dll) to be used as an embedded plugin (I downloaded lkjb QRange, a phase linear equalizer) that will correct and align phase shifts and your listening will make a quantum leap in a matter of minutes. I use a pc source through its usb audio exit, a Pioneer SC-LX87 with its ES9016 SABRE32 Ultra DAC 32/194 and a very good pair of Heco The Statement speakers and, given a good chain, equalizer apo and the plugin will make your sound more focused, clear and enjoyable. I mean that you can have real enhancements even if you start from a good chain. The down with this plugin is that it introduces delay thus it is not suitable for videos, watching tv , movies or any other video source.

Un très très très grand M E R C I à jthedering pour cette application parfaite et gratuite ! Pour ma part j'ai simplement dû ouvrir "Editor.exe" situé dans : "Ce PC" > "Windows(C:)" > "Programmes" > "EqualizerAPO" car l'installation n'a pas créé de raccourci (il ne s'est rien passé après l'installation), mais c'est le seul petit problème que j'ai eu. En plus d'augmenter le volume (on peut choisir la valeur) sans dégrader la qualité comme d'autres logiciels, il est doté d'un égaliseur comme son nom l'indique, très utile, et d'autres fonctions! Et cerise sur le gâteau, il est parfaitement stable, même fenêtre fermée l'appli reste active (on peut désactiver le gain et/ou l'égaliseur au choix). Je peux enfin profiter de mon pc portable! VERY VERY VERY BIG T H A N K Y O U TO JTHEDERING !!!

A big thank you to the devs of this absolutely brilliant piece of software! When you combine it with peace eq front end, provides functionalities that put every sound card control interface to shame. A must have for any audiophile!

Just want to say how awesome this piece of software is. I'm on windows 10 64bit and the reason I needed something like APO is that I can use EQ and VST plugins with extreme ease. I'm using the program's default EQ (to compensate for my hearing and the old speakers I use) and I have also added the free-to-use vst plugin Loudmax (to bring closely together low and high volume levels when I work during the night). I must say, I have ZERO problems so far and I'm using it for quite a long time now (v1.2.1). I only wish the vst plugins' UI had the indicators shown normally, ie. with volume showing levels, compression, etc. Plugins DO work but they will appear dead visually so a bit of audio knowledge (or luck) is required to set them properly.

Don't understand the rave reviews here. Is it some sort of audio-nerd Stockholm Syndrome? The best thing about Equalizer APO is there is nothing out there as an alternative. The worst? CONSTANT break-downs. This thing highlights the worst aspects of open-source freeware out there. Labor & time intensive, all too often it stops working and you'll spend far more time fidgeting with this software than anything on your computer. When it works it gets 5 stars but every few Windows updates or just randomly it stops launching or working or whatever; take your pick. Then the "configurator" bs; always requiring a reboot. Always. Then spend hours trying to fix the thing. I'll gladly take any easier alternative at this point even if not up to the same standards. Now it has 'issues' with Windows 11 updates.

awesome equliazer! I use it on every PC! Works fine with bluetooth, and cable connections ! But it requires GUI so i use Peace GUI and its fine for me :) thanks for your work

I started out using this app to solve a fairly simply problem, boosting the microphone volume of a headset to a reasonable level. Since then I have added graphic equalization to the audio out channel. It took a bit to understand how it worked, but once that clicked I find it very powerful and easy to use. I can have different equalization for different devices, gain is only applied to the mic of a specific headset. I do everything through the config editor and the change is applied live so I can tweak until I get exactly the levels I want.

I have been using EQ for a year. It's awesome software, which provides a Virtual/surround sound experience even in my old stereo speaker, and also it gives me full control over what pitch I want to hear from my speaker. Thanks to the person/team who develops this wonderful software. I am expecting same kind of software/application for mobile platforms like android/ios.

As far as I know, the only great equalizer that works universally in Windows, for all audio. Amazingly powerful!
