rmachine is a register machine simulator (the complexity theory version), programmed in python, complete with a module to be used in your programs and a (PyQt4) GUI.

sarface is a user-interface to the sysstat/sar database which inputs data from sar and plots to a live X11 graph via gnuplot. It mimics the cmd-line options from sar but can cross-plot any two or more stats and apply simple mathematical functions them.

sfunctioner is a GUI wizard written in PyQt for creating Matlab Simulink sfunctions quickly and efficiently. It helps creating a fully functional sfunction within a few minutes.

Update - SRST2 Now Available ------ 25 Sep, 2013 This project has now been replaced by SRST2 - Short Read Sequence Typing for Bacterial Pathogens, available at http://katholt.github.io/srst2/ The new SRST2 program does gene typing as well as MLST (e.g. typing resistance genes, virulence genes, etc). SRST2 is faster and more accurate than the old SRST, using bowtie2 to achieve local alignments (no need for flanking sequences) and a brand new scoring system.

swiginac is a Python interface to the GiNaC (GiNaC is not a CAS) C++ library, built with SWIG. The aim of swiginac is to make all the functionality of GiNaC accessible from Python.

vtkModeling-beta.zip: it is an extension of Visualization ToolKit 5.0. Basically it's a collection of deformation algorithms, like laplacian surface editing, moving least square, mass spring system, etc.

The "wirecutter" plugin for inkscape is a plugin to generate g-Code for a 2D wirecutter with a turning table. You can either draw one open path which is the path which the machine will cut or you can draw some closed paths. These closed paths (e.g. Letters) must be connected because the cutter cannot leave the raw material like a milling machine. The Plugin helps you to create these connectors. If you have a wirecutter with a turning table you can create multiple "cuts" for different positions of the turning table. This software is not really tested and is still in development.

PythonToolkit (PTK) is an interactive environment for python. It was designed to provide a python based environment similiar to Matlab for scientists and engineers however it can also be used as a general purpose interactive python environment.

2DFLT it is first out of two programs which allows implementation of Phase Sensitive Detection (PSD) and/or Modulated Enhanced Diffraction (MED) techniques on the in situ data. This software allows collecting individual data files from in situ experiment into one dataset. After that this data set can be visualized, edited, normalized and averaged. Resulted data can be saved as one flat file (FLT-format) which can be used for PSD/MED calculations via 2DMED software (http://sourceforge.net/projects/twodmed/?source=directory). 2DFLT specifically was written to target in situ X-ray Powder Diffraction data from synchrotron measurements. Hence it can read CHI, XYE (TOPAS), FXYE(GSAS/ GSASII) and XY- files formats. However it can read general in situ data written into individual TXT or XY – files.

2DMED it is the second out of two programs which allows implementation of Phase Sensitive Detection (PSD) and/or Modulated Enhanced Diffraction (MED) techniques on the in situ data. This software takes normalized and averaged in situ data in flat file format (FLT) and performs PSD transformation which has been described in Urakawa, A.et al. Chem. Eng. Science 2008, 63, 4902. User can choose demodulation index k and perform several demodulation calculations. This is extremely important since demodulation calculations at k = 2 on in situ powder diffraction data represent implementation of MED method which been described in Chernyshov, D. et al. Acta Cryst. 2011, A67, 327. Demodulated data can be then viewed on 2D and/or 1D plot and analyses with different tools including In Phase Plot, Maximum Amplitude Plot and Positive Pattern Plot. Demodulated data also can be saved in ASCII format for further analysis.

This project is a part of a mini project required by the Mechatronics-2 course for the 4th year Mechatronics class in faculty of engineering Ainshams university. The mini project involves the control of an articulated robotic arm which resembles a human arm. The control is done via tele-manipulation which is done by the tracking of 4 IR LEDs fixed at the joints of the controller arm. This code is the part of the project responsible for the interfacing with the wiimote, stereo-triangulation of the wiimote data and determining the 3D coordinates of the IR LEDs.

ABE is a small, fast and convenient program for visualizing and modeling experimental bioassay data. The data can be modeled using either polynomials or a more specific four-parameter model based upon the standard, sigmoidal dose-response curve.

ADOMA stands for: Alternative Display Of Multiple Alignment. ADOMA can create four different displays of a multiple sequence alignment: a ClustalW alignment in HTML format, a simplified ClustalW alignment in HTML and/or txt format and a colored ClustalW alignment in HTML format. For examples of these outputfiles check the screenshots. ADOMA uses ClustalW to create the multiple alignment from DNA or protein sequences and displays them slightly different than the normal output of ClustalW. ACP is a simulation framework aimed to production processes modeling. Compared to its ancestor - jES - it is lightweight, more general and written in Python. The basic goal of the simulator is to find bottlenecks in production process which could be hard to detect with traditional approaches (e.g., top-down). In addition, it can be used to speculate about “what-if” scenarios in order to suggest solution strategies.
