Statistics101 is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that uses a simple, powerful language called “Resampling Stats” to develop Monte Carlo programs to analyze and solve statistical problems. This project was born from a stage at the "Signals and Images Lab (si.isti.cnr.it), Institute of Information Science and Technologies of the National Research Council of Italy". ImageJforXTF extends the open source ImageJ software with functionalities that allow to open and manage XTF files. This kind of files is used to record sonar and bathymetric data. An user can choose to open any file with extension ".xtf" so that the program parses it and shows the resulting image. Then the user can resize the image, apply graphic filters, perform measurements and georeference the recorded data using GoogleMap and GoogleEarth, in addition to using the basic functionality offered by ImageJ.

Niche Analyst (NicheA) was developed based on the BAM framework which allows users to create virtual spaces and virtual species, and to analyze ecological niches in both multivariate environmental and geographic spaces, linking views of the niche in the two spaces. The unique functionality in NicheA, not available in other software programs, is estimating Grinnellian niches of species based on environmental variables and occurrence records, but with a clear focus on fundamental ecological niches. NicheA can display ecological niches; calculate their shape, density, location, and other attributes; and quantify similarity among multiple niches.
