Lilidog Linux is a lightweight, full featured distribution based on Debian stable with the Openbox window manager. Both X11, and Wayland versions are based on Debian 13 Trixie. Available versions: Lilidog - Comes with everything necessary to get started. Use this version if looking for an out of the box computing experience with everything you need. Beardog - The 'bare' version of Lilidog, without Lightdm, but the option to install Lightdm and most of the other features of the full version. A great way to get a lightweight environment with all the features you want. Waydog - A Wayland based release with Labwc, Sway, and Waybar. A fun release that shows some of the potential of Wayland and small window managers. Niri and Wayfire are also available as separate installer options. Window Maker Live is an installable Linux Live ISO based on the current Trixie branch of Debian. The system uses the Window Maker window manager as the default graphical user interface. Window Maker Live's components have been carefully preconfigured and the desktop environment has a consistent visual appearance. Window Maker Live integrates selected components from other desktop environments such as XFCE4, MATE, LXQT, with a particular focus on GNUstep. The main idea behind this project is to integrate the Window Maker window manager as default user interface on top of a standard Debian/Trixie base system. It also serves as an alternate installation medium for Debian/Trixie. The second main idea not directly visible on the surface level is the inclusion of many useful command line utilities and tools for system administration. This effectively turns wmlive into a UNIX administrator's workbench for rescue and repair operations. -

exGENT version 250126/240125 Linux Live System is - as the name suggest - based on Gentoo Linux. The best thing with exGENT is the premier auto detection of hardware and the ability to relatively easy install the system to hard drive during a live session. (Calamares Installer). LXQt 2.1 is used as Desktop environment. Used kernel: 6.12.10/6.7.1. exGENT runs on all "normal" and fairly new computers. They run very well also in VirtualBox/VMware. INSTALLATION The systems can easily be installed to hard drive and/or a USB flash drive in two ways. Using Calamares Installer or an installation script in /root/install. The installation takes 5 - 20 min. (Depending on computer type). ROLLING DISTRIBUTION Gentoo/exGENT is a "rolling" distribution, which means that you can always get the latest software without reinstalling. Upgrade the system every month or so... WHO IS exGENT/Gentoo FOR? Experienced Linux users or those who really want to learn Linux. -
