Provides a link to the GNU MatLab clone, Octave. Think of it as an external Nyquist, with graphing, advanced mathematical scripting and prebuilt algorithms suitable for DSP and annotation.
Also related to this is a binary save/restore format for Audacity data.
Some initial support (based heavily on EffectNuquist class) is already done - it is possible to alter data in wave or label tracks. The goal is to provide the full engine with the capabilities to analyze, alter and
create new tracks - and perhaps an "interactive" octave shell as well.
So far the code was only tested on linux (Ubuntu Dapper, wx 2.6.3 with unicode support).
