WaveKat Voice is a Mac and Linux desktop app that turns your computer into your business phone line. Connect a phone provider you already use — Twilio, Telnyx, 2talk, and more — and answer or place calls right from your laptop, with no desk phone or extra hardware. It waits quietly in your menu bar until the phone rings.
Every call is recorded automatically and saved the moment you hang up, with a live transcript running alongside it, so you can take in the conversation instead of scribbling notes. Calls, recordings, and transcripts stay on your computer by default — nothing is uploaded unless you sign in to a WaveKat account, which then syncs your history to the web so you can review it anywhere.
Free during the public beta, it's lightweight, privacy-first, and updates itself quietly in the background.
