Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Smokeball does well all of the things I, and many modern law firms need including trust accounting and management, automatic time tracking, document templating and automation. This is a robust one platform access to all essential tools, process management , macro and micro analysis of our practice, and integration with other software allowing for ultimate cloud based organization. Continued product development and ease of access to training allows for growth and continued evolution of efficiency. It is truly a work from anywhere solution that allows you to control and evaluate overhead while providing a more uniform and reliable service for our clients. I like everything about Smokeball. I use it daily. I have been using Smokeball for over 2 years and don't see myself using any other program. Cons 1) Our onboarding process was managed by an external contractor and it was problematic. It's my understanding that Smokeball brought this in house; 2) We were required to finance our three-year contract up front which is a departure from how we are used to paying for monthly subscription services. Despite those challenges, I'm glad we adopted Smokeball and I do not see that it has any true competition. I truly only regret I didn't start with this software and had to go through the process of onboarding existing cases which lacked many of the benefits of being worked by a system like Smokeball. There is nothing that I can think of that I do not like.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The interface is a big improvement over our previous software. Timekeepers are very happy with the ease of posting dockets and particularly enjoy the heat map to review time targets and daily entries. We have enjoyed increased billing efficiency for clients with multiple invoices in a billing period. Support is very responsive, friendly and effective. We were able to integrate the software with our DMS. This program is so user friendly and easy to use, it makes the accounting side of running a firm fun! Customer service is nothing short of wonderful. Support team is very responsive and give a clear impression that they want to help - no question is too silly. Easy to use. Quick response from customer service. Problems are resolved. quickly. The trust accounting is accurate and has appropriate reports. Interface is clean and easy to navigate. Soluno integrates well with credit card processing system. I really like the data input section. Most daily functions are conveniently found on one page. Easy to use, any time we've had any problem we have been able to immediately reach someone via the chat feature and have it remedied. It's made our lives a lot easier. The training was very informative and we feel like we were able to get the hang of the new system fairly quick. Good value for the money. Cons As newer software, there are some features, adjustments and reports that are not yet available. Soluno has added features and continues to update the software (even in the short time we have been with them), so I expect my rating will be 5 stars by the end of this year. We are new to the program, so still ironing out some kinks, but just a couple of things we have noticed. It is not yet possible to delete or close files, but I understand they are working on that and there was a hack we were taught to organize all files we need to delete together, so they are easily identifiable. At this stage, we have not yet been able to figure out how to allocate write downs to a specific fee earner on bills, for accurate recording of a fee earner's billed amount for bonus purposes. Soluno does not currently have any budgeting capabilities. Fee adjustment at time of billing needs improvement. A couple things we've looked for haven't been there or were hard to find, but the few things that were missing that we needed were remedied by the team within a week.
