Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I discovered Rebtel through the calling service but have since started using it for mobile recharges to my home country, and sending money too. I think pricing is fair, and it helps that they don't charge fees for mobile recharges. We've been using Rebtel since 2009 and have always been reasonably satisfied. Today though I can't access it-hopeless! Worst app, please if you read this, do not use this app, when I used it, they charged me and my own phone provider charged me for long distance call so Rebtel charged me $10 2x in a row and I have Rogers in Canada they also charged me $40 for the long distance call, and that is ridiculous for about 2 minutes and the call quantity was 0 i couldn’t understand anything, I was trying to call my Grandmother in Hungary, so I repeat please do not use this app, it is a scam!! This is the worst international calling app ever. Not one phone call got connected, except one to a toll free number. Nobody cares. The issues i had since the beginning. Wanted to give them another chance, but nothing changed. I wasted money and time. It's charging even no call is connected. Somebody has to close this business down. When I am able to call, the clarity is not bad, it seems that you are safe in terms of fraudulence. Interfere with my local calls when I try to call Canada. Cons The design is quite dated tbh. The app is a bit confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it's super easy. I also didn't like that if you're abroad, you can only use wifi calling and I learnt the hard way when I made a call using phone lines and got a roaming bill from my telco at the end of the month. While Rebtel does explain it, it's not very clear Today their system won't allow me to add money to renew! Tried various credit cards, several attempts but all fail. They don't have a tel number for Help so I've been in the chat queue for over an hour now. Tried sending an email too but they just keep bouncing it back after adding my last comment each time! What's the point of that!?! I'll look now for an alternative as this is ridiculous and I have an urgent call to make! Now their chat just dropped after 60 mins as their English help service has shut! Wasted my time and money, Rebtel charged me 2x in a row during a free trial time and my own provider charged me long distance charges!! This is the worst international calling app ever. Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I find WhatsApp to be a great and exciting platform to communicate with other users with an ease. Besides instant messaging, WhatsApp also allows me to create group, join communities, share multimedia files, share statuses, make and take both voice and video calls. - It only takes your phone number and that's it. It doesn't ask any other details of the user to use this app. - It is very user-friendly and easy to use app with no ads and completely free to use. - User can delete the scent message which is a good feature that WhatsApp offers to the users. - it has brilliant audio and video calling features, which uses fewer data than its competitors. I am very interested in this project so far . it has been very useful for communication and also granting high quality videos. - WhatsApp is the most widely use application that gives you a platform to connect with your contacts. - All the chats on this platform are 128 bit end-to-end encrypted that gives the utmost security to its user privacy. - All the chats can be easily backed up on local storage as well as on google drive. It gives the user the flexibility to restore chats on a new device. - Simple and user friendly application - Voice call and video call available - Instantly able to send a message to all over the world - Live-location sharing feature Cons WhatsApp is a good platform for all my instant communication needs and I have not came across any issues while using it. - The data is stored in the servers, which is a security concern and is not full proof. - you cannot send a video file bigger than 61mb and a document having size bigger than 100 MB, which is one of the biggest cons of WhatsApp. - WhatsApp group accommodates fewer number of people whereas its competitors like telegram accommodates 1000x more people. Sometimes during conversation or video calls the connection get interrupted but I think the is from the internet provider not the application. The chats on WhatsApp are end to end encrypted, however, the backup datastore on google drive is not, So, the WhatsApp user data can be easily hacked if the google account gets hacked. - Privacy policy issues - Media files up to 16mb only can be transferred - Need to share personal number in order to communicate
