About

Portravo helps US construction teams turn PDF plan sets into takeoffs and estimate workbooks. Users can upload plans, organize projects, review quantities and takeoff lines, and export estimates after review and pricing. Supported trades use assisted processing, with manual review or team completion where required. Its authenticated MCP server supports project access, plan intake, takeoff workflows and estimate exports using existing account permissions and credits. Contractors and estimators should review quantities, scope and pricing before using an estimate. Portravo is operated by Soxoa LLC.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • As an old school QS/Estimator, who was brought up on using paper drawings and take-off sheets, this has been mind blowing. I have been using a free on line take-off system, that has no back up and will eventually be taken down, together with my own take -off and estimating Excel spreadsheets. I love the ability to screen shot my mark ups and add them to my take-offs for future reference. I have seen others using Bluebeam and I would consider Purple Hammer to be above and beyond this system. The ability to compare drawing revisions is a great feature. We all know the architects who like to push out drawing revisions and not actually cloud the revisions.

Cons

  • The only con at the moment is my own limits. I'm looking forward to Ari Isaacs showing me how to incorporate my own take-off sheets. Looking forward to being able to exploit it's features
