Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Its much faster, you can customize the codec and decoding features on both sides that permit to adapt to any hardware!

Cons

  • It seems a much more expensive rather than Anydesk, NoMachine allows 32 connections on business license, and Anydesk allows 20/500 in business license..

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Latency is very very low. I work in the entertainment industry and on a decent connection I'm able to drive a 4k display and edit on a remote workstation 500 miles away with low enough latency that it's usable. Sync isn't an issue for audio, the screen refresh is high enough that 60fps playback is-well not quite right but 24fps is fine. and you can edit 60 it just looks more like 24 fps while you watch it. The clipboard is synced between machines (at least for text. I have not tried images) and that is impressive and VERY useful. No compression artifacts. Allows me to use a windows PC with a Mac client.

Cons

  • The Mac client needs a LOT of help. I think it's running Java? It doesn't act like a Mac citizen with nonstandard window behavior. The thing it needs most is the ability to translate the keyboard layout to swap keys like Command/Windows key to control (Mac users trying to use shortcuts will find themselves presented with a confusing menus popping up when trying to do things like cut/paste)
