Initially, I had no clue what was causing the problem, but installing Netdata took only a few minutes, and it quickly guided me toward identifying and resolving the infrastructure issues. - ease of install - complete solution for our needs - easy to automate the install through ansible - no maintenance needed Useful: i can tell when the scientists are running jobs with wrong parameters cuz the disks are trashed. The easy way to deploy the agent, the minimal footprint it has the agent, the easiness to build dashboards with the metrics that we need. Netdata shines with its real-time, in-depth monitoring capabilities, offering an unparalleled view into system performance with minimal configuration effort. Its automated service discovery and scalability are standout features, enabling easy expansion as infrastructure grows without increasing maintenance complexity. The user-friendly dashboards provide instant insights, while the customizable alerting system ensures proactive issue management. This combination of features dramatically improves operational efficiency, making Netdata an essential tool for anyone looking to streamline their monitoring processes and focus on business growth. Cons Didn't really find anything that I do not like yet. Nothing. This product is perfect for our needs. We just installed and it runs When used by non-technical people, it needs an introduction. I only see one con, the lack of configure custom logs for monitoring. One area where Netdata has room for improvement is in its documentation and integration guides, which can sometimes be less intuitive for users with varying technical backgrounds. Additionally, while Netdata offers broad compatibility, there are occasional challenges with detecting certain services or configurations, such as with specific web servers on customized setups. These minor drawbacks highlight the need for more comprehensive support materials and enhanced compatibility features to ensure a seamless experience for all users, regardless of their infrastructure complexity. It detects anomaly if there is any in a much lesser time and we can act upon it soon. Another thing that it monitor for us is the IT Infrastructure among which application monitoring and performance monitoring is included under it. Log Management is another feature of this tool which keeps up updated with audit trails, data visualisation and remediation. IT Infrastructure Monitoring is at its best. Log Management is beyond comparison. Reporting and Analytics made easier. Performance Monitoring of apps and devices. Full system troubleshooting and data trends analysis makes it more perfect. Customer support is much supportive. With Sematext Cloud you get full visibility over servers, networks, application performance, and Container. It helps to maintain the best fitness of our tech infrastructure. Sematext's PagerDuty integration allows me to share metrics with the team. This software helps us in constant monitoring of our it infrastructure and our network servers and making out any problem if it persist and troubleshoot them out. Dashboard can be customized for a better usage and user experience with keeping important things in front page of the dashboard. This tool is tailored to meet our full requirements, ranging from it monitoring to log management to APM to budget planning. Cons It needs work to get admin logging in the Sematext interface. I had hoped that the free tier's retention duration was a little bit longer. The learning curve for logsene searching is quite high. It can be confusing and occasionally cause the website to load slowly when logs, events, and metrics are all displayed on one page. Deployment with the tool is little tricky which would require their team to guide properly to get through all the features. Nothing as such, for any problem, there is an excellent customer support team. I've not had a single bad experience with this platform. It's been a great tool for us and no such issues have been found yet.
