Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Lot of reports. Easy to analyze data. Alarms and notification. Health status of every host monitored. Support Windows\Syslog\Linux\Mac. I appreciate the completeness of the product, its extreme reliability and the high possibility of customization. Full, intuitive, reliable. The software captures logs from all devices and allows immediate viewing and has many utilities inside. Agentless log capture. Software inventory. Super-fast filters. Exports in various formats. Compliance with privacy regulations. Easy of use and a large number of very useful functions. Installation was simple and everything worked perfectly. Advice for all companies. Cons Depending on the environment, it could take a bit to configure it.. but once done.. no problem! The product does not report any problems or complications. The graphic aspect is very simple perhaps too much: however understandable. Maybe I would have appreciated being able to install it on a linux machine, you need a win2012 or higher operating system. I was fine with all the features, nothing in particular bad.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Splunk is top of the line for logging. But that means paying a lot every month, and keeping a lot of data, so make sure you actually need detailed logging. If you do, Splunk has a lot of built in functions to analyze your logging data and help your business be more insightful. Customizable dashboards. Can consume multiple log sources. Extensive and deep search feature. Search Queries can be converted to apps. Alert system based on log data. Cons If you only need some of the metrics and not all the logs, getting Splunk means you're wasting money and overengineering your analytics process. You can use an open source metrics system like Prometheus instead if that's what you need. It's also super easy to accidentally get false alerts on Splunk, and that will not make your oncall engineers happy. Steep learning curve. Search can be slow for huge logs. Expensive.
