OK Jaime.
That will help since no one is being responsible enough to delete their own
trash.
Thanks.

Hi Ravi,
There is no way to do this at the moment in Usermin. However, I do plan to
add a feature in the next release to allow users to setup automatic deletion
of folders once they reach a certain size, or after a certain time.

I have SpamAssasin set up for all clients but I noticed that
no one is deleting their spams from their spam folder. How do I configure
spamassasin so after a certain amount of time all spam gets deleted from all
accounts? Just like Bulk Mail at mail.yahoo.com. They delete all spams after
a period of time if the user doesn#8217;t delete it on due time.
Thanks.

Hi there,
You should be careful regarding spam deletion. I'm checking messages in my
inbox marked as spam regularly. Not as rare as you think it might be I've
found wrongly marked messages due to SpamAssassin settings.

Were you doing the search from www.webmin.com/mailing.html ? Because that page doesn't even use pipermail anymore .. instead, it uses the sourceforge archive search. - Jamie |

Once an email has been delivered, it's a function of your imap daemon. If you are using cyrus-imapd, it's rather simple to invoke an expire/delete for emails XX days old as you are trying to do. Perhaps you want to clue us in on which imap server you are using. Craig |

Is it possible that the port is being blocked on either the server firewall, a firewall between the client and the host, or on the client itself? Can you telnet to the server on the right port from the client or elsewhere, including the server itself? eg: # telnet [server ip] [webmin port number] If you can do that starting at the server and working your way out to the client. and maybe trying some other client machines too, you can start to figure out where the block may be occurring. That is really odd, as the list of blocked hosts is stored only in memory and should be cleared after a restart. Try running /etc/webmin/stop ; /etc/webmin/start Failing that, edit /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf and remove the blockhost_failures line, THEN do a restart. - Jamie On 21/Apr/2006 16:55 bo...@de... wrote .. > i manually restart and still get the block and no allow in the conf file > > i did /etc/webmin/restart > > > bo...@de... wrote .. > > this was the message i got > > Error - Access denied for XX.XX.XX.XX The host has been blocked because > > of too many authentication failures. > > > > > > Jamie Cameron wrote .. > > > On 21/Apr/2006 15:57 boricua wrote .. > > > > On Fri, 21 Apr 2006 16:54:43 -0400 > > > > boricua <bo...@de...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > On Fri, 21 Apr 2006 15:32:29 -0500 (CDT) > > > > > "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > On 21/Apr/2006 15:27 boricua wrote .. > > > > > > > On Fri, 21 Apr 2006 14:10:09 -0500 (CDT) > > > > > > > "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > On 21/Apr/2006 13:38 boricua wrote .. > > > > > > > > > just got back and was not able to solve this issue while > > away. > > > > > > > > > i had another issue that the network went down > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > but i dont see allow i do see deny and this is the line > > > > > > > > > denyfile=\.pl$ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Don't touch that one .. it is for something totally different. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > what do i need to do blank it out? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Any line starting with allow= or deny= . > > > > > > > > > > > > > > none, is it possible it cleared already? > > > > > > > i had tried modifying > > > > > > > blockhost_time=60 but i no longer can verify since i am back... > > > > > > > > > > > > Most likely you were locked out not by a specific deny on your > > IP, > > > > > > but by making too many failed logins .. which will eventually > expire. > > > > > > > > > > > > btw when is eventually? > > > > > > It is set in the Webmin Configuration module, on the Authentication > page. > > > > > > > how can i unblock it immediately? > > > > > > Manually restart the Webmin server process. > > > > > > - Jamie |

Most likely you were locked out not by a specific deny on your IP, but by making too many failed logins .. which will eventually expire. - Jamie |
