Any ideas about this one? Webmin determines which actions are started at boot by looking at the symlinks from /etc/rcX.d to the actions' scripts in /etc/init.d . The X in /etc/rcX.d is the system's bootup runlevel, which is generally 3 or 5. You can see the runlevel by looking at the id: line in /etc/inittab ... I suspect that this line may contain something odd on your system. - Jamie |

I have one CentOS 4.3 machine of several which for some reason can't seem to see the state of services in the 'Bootup and Shutdown' area. Everything shows as No under Start at boot column. Also, in other areas like where you can set Webmin to start at boot, it is also listed as No, even though in fact during a reboot, the service is started. I've compared the module config areas between systems and simply can't find anything that's different. Any ideas about this one? Thanks, John Hinton |

I have this at the end of my access.conf file: include "/usr/local/apache/conf/virtualsites/*.conf" But when I create a new virtual site, Webmin complains like this: "Failed to create virtual server : The new virtual server was added to /usr/local/apache/conf/virtualsites/mysite.se.conf, but this file is not used by Apache. Check the module configuration and make sure the 'File or directory to add virtual servers to' is correct." Probably because it doesn't see/understand the include. This is with Apache 1.3.x -joho |

** I think you can get that info on /usr/local/mysql/share/mysql/charsets . You may take a look on /usr/local/mysql/share/mysql/charsets/README file. I will add an option for this to the next Webmin release. Do you know of any way to get a list of possible character sets though? - Jamie |

Hi,
Is there any way to use the "backup database" feature on webmin's
mysql module and specify the "--default-character-set" option for mysqldump?
If not, can i suggest that should be possible to specify such options?
Thanks

So in the next releases of Webmin and Usermin I will add a preferences option for the date format, so you can select d/m/y, m/d/y or even y/m/d. - Jamie |

I just upgraded usermin from 1.180 to 1.200 and noticed that the date format listed in the mailbox index listing is now in a non-American format (aka European Format, aka Military Format, aka Day/Month/Year)... is there a new preference setting that can be used to control this behaviour? I (and my fellow users) prefer to use the "American" format (Month/Day/Year), if possible. For the time being, I've modified boxes-lib-func.pl::simplify_date()'s sprintf() line to format "%m/%d/%Y"... this will keep us happy for now, but if there's a user preference, that'd be ideal. I checked out the module preferences and default user preferences but could not find one listed that seemed appropriate. Thanks! |

To stop it, go to the Bootup and Shutdown module, select the nscd service, and click the button to stop it and disable it at boot. - Jamie |
