When a user logs in on usermin is it possible to add a link (like those of the modules) to the main index page that when clicked redirects a user to another web address. Basically adding an html link to the main page that looks like a module link. |

Try clicking on the Module Config link and changing 'Supports Vixie-Cron extensions?' to Yes. It is possible that Webmin detected your Debian version incorrectly, and used some incorrect settings by default. - Jamie On 23/Jul/2006 09:38 Neal Morgan wrote .. > Debian Sarge with packages cron and anacron installed. > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: web...@li... > [mailto:web...@li...] On Behalf Of Jamie > Cameron > Sent: Sunday, July 23, 2006 9:34 AM > To: Webmin users list > Subject: Re: [webmin-l] Scheduled Cron Jobs / Reboot > > On 23/Jul/2006 01:29 Neal Morgan wrote .. > > Jamie: > > > > I'm not seeing a "reboot" option on the scheduled cron jobs screen. > > Jobs in /etc/cron.d with @reboot show up in my list, but appear as if > no > > hours/minutes/etc are picked. > > > > Is it there and I'm just not seeing it? > > Usually those special @hours/daily/reboot time specifications > only appear if Webmin detects that your version of Cron supports > them. Jamie: I'm not seeing a "reboot" option on the scheduled cron jobs screen. Jobs in /etc/cron.d with @reboot show up in my list, but appear as if no hours/minutes/etc are picked. Is it there and I'm just not seeing it? Thanks, Neal Morgan |

I currently have all of my ACLs in slapd.conf commented-out until I can spend some time on it, which is of course, uncomfortable to say the least. =2D-=20 Anthony Chavez http://anthonychavez.org/ mailto:ac...@an... jabber:ac...@ja... |

Hi Virtualmin users, I have finally gotten around to creating an update to the free version of Virtualmin, which adds a bunch of new features and fixes many bugs. This new release actually merges the code base between the commercial Pro version and the GPL, which will make the development of both much faster in future. You can get the new version from : http://download.webmin.com/download/virtualmin/virtual-server-3.182.gpl.tar.gz A complete list of changes is at : http://www.webmin.com/vchanges-3.182.gpl.html This new version should be considered beta quality, so I'd welcome any feedback on bugs on features that have gone missing. Thanks! - Jamie |

That is quite a good idea, and I have just added it to the module. However
I don't actually run a Cyrus IMAP server myself, so I can't fully test it!
But you can, by downloading the module from :
http://www.webmin.com/updates/ldap-useradmin-1.290-4.wbm.gz
Let me know how it goes.

Yes - just go to the Webmin Users module, and click on Global ACl next to the user's login. On the form that appears you can restrict which directories he can see in the file chooser. - Jamie |

So I've modified the upload/download options for a particular user so that they can upload/download to/from a specific folder on the system. This is intended as a quasi-replacement for what was once a locked down FTP option. In any event, my question is this... Even with upload/dowload restrictions in place, the user can still go all over the system looking at directory structure/other domains, etc. Is there any way to limit the "browse" upload view to the directory specified in the module configuration? thnx. .t -- find / -name "*base*" -user your -print |xargs 'chown us' |

Subject: Re: [webmin-l] Question about the MON monitoring component
That would be quite tricky, as for Webmin to be able to edit=20
the config file it would need to 'undo' the M4 substitions, which
is near impossible.
Solaris uses M4 in its syslog.conf file, but to handle this Webmin
runs the file through M4 the first time you open the module, to
expand all M4 directives. I could do this for Mon as well, but it
would really defeat the purpose of using M4 in the first place, and
would probably annoy users who want to save their M4 directives!
So basically, Mon+M4 is incompatible with Webmin :-(
