[webmin-l] Virtualmin GPL: deleting virtual server fails

Using Version 3.182.gpl, Webmin 1.290 on CentOS 4.3

I created a "testdomain.com" account in Virtualmin.

Then tried to delete it (including all files) and Virtualmin gives this
error page:

i thought a video was the best way to show what i was seeing.

UG to dev version and still have same issues. i have asked my customer to
try on his PC as he is using XP pro where as i use 2000

Firefox works for me 7+ or select all / delete without any errors so i ruled
out DNS issues unless IE is buggy in that area.

Thanks for the reply. This new feature is Postfix really makes the use
of multiple SMTP servers a breeze compared to the old method of having
multiple IP addresses, etc.

Perhaps you can put it on your TODO list if you get a free moment or two.

Wow, a video bug report - that sets new heights in thorougness!
I think you are seeing a different problem here, which I believe 
has been addressed in the 1.224 version of Usermin, available from
http://www.webmin.com/devel.html .

Would it be possible for you to install this and re-try deletion of
7 or more emails? I'm having trouble tracking this down, as it never
happens for me, even when running IE.

That won't work though ..
I checked into this further, and found that if you run edquota with a numeric
username, it will always assume this this is a UID, even if no user with that
ID exists.

Webmin always creates non-password-protected cert files, to avoid the problem
of the openssl library prompting for the password at startup time. I suppose
I could add code to allow a password to be specified in Webmin's config files
somewhere (like Apache does), but security-wise this would be no different
from not having a passphrase at all!

Basically, I recommend creating certs without a passphrase, if you want to
use them with a web server than can be started automatically at boot time.

Does this virtual server have the 'home directory' and 'Mail for domain enabled?'
features enabled? Also, if you click on the virtual server to bring up the
Edit Server page, can you see the 'Edit Mail and FTP Users' button?

Webmin doesn't actually need to integrate with Apache - it runs
its own web server (called miniserv.pl) with root permissions.

which shows something coming back. (i have asked for the html he gets)

[webmin-l] cannot access installed module

Hello,

today I installed the latest webmin RPM on a machine.
I can login webmin and I can see most modules but syslog-ng.

I found the module on the filesystem, but when I tried to open it using 
the full path I get

Access denied : User root is not allowed to use the System Logs NG module

Now I tried to activate it for root, but it is not in the list of the 
modules.

Please help

Are you running the installer as a user who
has permission to write to, delete and re-create
c:/temp ? This typically has to be the Administrator
login.

Edquota should probably be fixed but as a workaround could you run
edquota with the numeric id of the user as the argument instead of the
name to avoid this problem?

If you actually only hit enter then you accepted the unix paths...try yo 
explicitly set c:\etc\webmin, etc when prompted.

Hi ALL

I did the followed steps for installing webmin-1.290

#cp webmin-1.290 /usr/local/
#cd /usr/local/webmin-1.290
#./setup.sh

It installed successfully,

I have apache web server running which came with the default
installation of RHEL AS U2

my query is when i did

#grep webmin-1.290 /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

it gave me nothing

so how does it integrate with a running apache web server

Please let me know if you need any further information on this
