ok , now a different question,
in usermin/readmail  in the To:  address there is a box with ...
appears to be like a click option to get addresses,

seems not to do anything when you click it .
if it worked where is that list coming from

These both just update the user's ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs file. Assuming your
mail server is running SpamAsasssin, the filtering will be done before the mail
gets to any MUA.

I checked my code again, and I can see a reason for this - the form values
in the checkboxes are larger in Usermin, as it includes the message IDs.. and
thus the total amount of data submitted by the browser is too large. IE has
some form POST limit above which it is running into problems :(

Since I can't replicate this on my own systems, is there any change you could setup
VNC or equivalent on a Windows box for me to login to remotely and run IE?

Try checking the log file /var/webmin/miniserv.error to see if anything
gets logged when you open that page. Also, try accessing it with Firefox
instead of IE. Firefox will show the full error message from the server,
which can be useful for diagnosing the problem..

[webmin-l] Postgresql Module Problem

I have just installed Webmin-1.290 on a new Redhat Fedora 5 installation an=
d all
seemed to go well. I have just tried Posgresql and when I hit the Postgresql
button in the servers page I get a "Page can not be displayed" - "Cannot fi=
nd
server" or "DNS Error".

This is what I would expect if the page were actually missing. I have had a=
 look
in /usr/libexec/webmin and the posgresql module is there. I have tried
reinstalling the module and there has been no difference.

From=20a command prompt I can confirm that posgresql is running and I can c=
onnect
to the test database.

Does anyone have any thoughts about why this problem would occur?

mails trouble free but not usermin?

Who are you registering for the domain name? Will you be responsible for 
your own master zone or will they run it from their servers, and thus 
you are supplying a secondary server?

Who is supplying your IP addresses (public)? Will they delegate the 
reverse domain (arpa.in), or will you have to supply them with your PTR 
record information?

Are you running RFC 1918 addressing (Net10, I am co-author) internally 
and need DNS services internally (this requires careful setup so that 
those addresses do not leak out).

I probably should look to see what tutorials there are out there to help 
with the initial planning. Even before you start any configuring.

Those ads get added to the list automatically by sourceforge..
I had a look at that link and it didn't look phishy to me though .. just some

Actually I jumped the gun on that - still not working. I am trying to 
re-install the webmin upgrade (forcing via "install even if present 
already option) and that is hanging immediately after the download is 
complete.

I seem to have it working now, after I used yum to remove usermin, and 
then reinstalling it from webmin.
No users have ever logged in, so nothing was lost, but maybe this is a 
data point  I did need to reboot as yum was hanging too during the 
uninstall.

OK I got it working - Greg's message tipped me off on where to find it, 
and I checked on another serving running usermin, made files to match. 
Then I looked up and found your message too :)

Not sure if this is a bug or not - there were never any pid files 
because usermin had never been running on this box.

But the box did have  my best (and somewhat incomplete) first effort to 
port the webmin/usermin configuration, including virtual servers from 
another box (Fedora 2 if it matters). Maybe I did something wrong, but 
maybe not. I dunno, but in case I found something buggy, there ya go :)
