hi, if you have a dedicated server (and i suppose you will have root access) jut roll out webmin on you own. it takes a minute or so.. Hello all, I am currently using Webmin with a VPS, have decided to purchase a dedicated server account and was wondering if you could recommend a company which provides Webmin with their servers. My recent search reveals that not all offer Webmin with their dedicated machines. I personally think that Webmin is far superior than WHM/CPanel. Liquidweb.com offers a great deal on their fully managed dedicated machines but sadly no Webmin. If any of you are currently with a hosting company who offer a good deal with Webmin then please drop me a line. Many thanks. Regards, Arshad |

A script that is just moving data wouldn't trigger the check I was thinking of, as it isn't consuming any more disk space. hi jamie, i use the the "Disk Space" monitor on all of my servers volumes, but when ist is most neccessary, it mostly fails. i talk about the case when an erroneous script is running amok and is filling up a volume; the alarm most of the time just comes to late. in a recent sleepless night i came up with this cunning idea: ;) measure the fill rate of a volume and than offer a failure state like: in XX minutes available space is below XX percent/XX bytes this way i could set up an alarm for sending a mail to sm...@ad... when the disk is really fast filling. possible? Hi webmin 1.300 / usermin 1.220 on FC3 i set-up 1 customer account as i have done many times before but i cannot login to usermin or pop3 or Neomail with his username and password. i can get to his usermin with users & groups then use the Usermin login button. looks like the password creation has been fried. now i did install clamav prior to this issue but feel that is unrelated. i logged via SSH and used passwd to set his password and it now works! The only other thing I can think of is deleting the webalizer.hist and we= balizer.current files before generating the report, to ensure it is total= ly re-parsed.. I am trying to get webalizer to regenerate a report based on the data in my enire access_log, but it only does the most recent few months. In webmin, I choose "yes" for "Always re-process log files?" - doesn't this mean it should take all of the data from the log file instead of the most recent? For that matter, it is not even processing all of the data. My apache logs are set to combined. The access_log file is 21 MB (data since April 2005) - could the size be preventing it from processing through the whole log file? Thanks, Mike |
