Hi Guys, There appears to be a bug in the Webmin Cyrus IMAP Server module. I have the latest 1.4.4 version installed and we are using the Cyrus IMAP server v2.2.12. When modifying a user's IMAP quota it changes other users matching the same initial characters of the intended user. We found that changing the quota for a user called "free" also mistakenly changes the quota for other users "freeway" and "freefoote". This bug may also apply to other mailbox operations but I haven't tested that. Regards Murray |

Performing backup of /sites/mydomain.com to /back/%Y-%m-%d/mydomain.com .. tar: /back/2006-11-22/mydomain.com: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now tar: Removing leading `/' from member names It would be nice if Webmin could check the path/destination before it starts the backup and create any necessary directories. I'd like to have a structure that looks like: /back/2006-11-22/files.. /back/2006-11-23/files.. and so on, so I don't get *everything* in one directory, or manually have to create the structure. -joho |

Mmm.. true; except the configuration gets a little bit spread out if I do t= hat. Log rotation in one place, awstats in another, and the Apache configur= ation in a third.. The way I ended up doing it for now is to use: CustomLog "|/usr/local/apache/bin/rotatelogs /sites/mydomain.com/logs/acces= s_%Y%m%d 86400" combined And then set the awstats configuration file to process "today minus one day= "'s log at 06:00. This is *not* neat, *nor* cool, but it may work. One side effect is that I = don't get the rotated log file to compress automatically, but a quick shell= script to compress all access_YYYYMMDD that are not today should solve tha= t. -joho ------------------------- Ursprungligt meddelande: Fr=E5n: Jamie Cameron <jca...@we...> =C4rende: Re: [webmin-l] Apache, Awstats, and Log rotation One solution would be to add a call to run awstats for the log to the=20 pre-rotation script of the log's logrotate configuration.. |

Mea culpa; it should of course be /logs/access_%YYYY-0%MM-0%DD-24 Webmin does, however, still fail to understand the format. Hello all,
I posted a note on this topic earlier but didn't get any responses; I am
hoping to get some help from the Webmin community this time around.
I wish to enable mod_rewrite in Apache/Webmin so we can use to use it in
.htaccess file for URL rewriting.
Servers>Apache>Re-Configure Known Modules page does list Mod_rewrite as an
available module. I then had a look at the httpd.conf file and found the
following entry:
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
So it appears that Apache is loading this module, why is it not showing on
Servers>Apache>Re-Configure Known Modules page?
I also found the following entry in the httpd.conf file, does this statement
nullifies the loading of mod_rewrite?
# The following lines prevent .htaccess and .htpasswd files from being
# viewed by Web clients.
#
<Files ~ "^\.ht">
Order allow,deny
Deny from all
</Files>
I use Apache 2.052 on a CentOS 4.4 machine.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards,
Arshad

How do I set-up log rotation for an Apache (virtual) server and its log files, and at the same time make sure Awstats have updated/or will update its statistics by parsing the "rotated" (and preferrably archived) set of log files? -joho |

Actually, one idea I've been tossing around is putting an 'execute sql' button on the data view page, so you can page through the output from a query in exactly the same way as you would for table contents.. it would be read-only though, but still sortable and searchable. - Jamie |

That is caused by your browser automatically filling in the field.. All you can do is turn this feature off in the browser. - Jamie |

One more thing: it would be -really handy- to have a "execute sql" button link on the edit table page, as well as the viewing of data page. Can't tell ya how many times I was looking at data and wanted to do a query, and had to click through a few pages just to get that. Thanks for listening! Bob |

One thing I've also seen recently with an update is that when I first go into the MySQL section, then click on User Permissions (at the bottom), the "MySQL user details" box comes up with the correct permission data from the user, except the username gets set to "root" instead of the user I clicked on. It almost looks like it starts drawing the screen with the correct username, then it resets to root. Bob |

At the moment, it can't .. however, in the next Webmin release I will add an access control option for that module to prevent users from editing views and indexes. You'll be able to disable this on the 'root' user, to effectively restore the old behaviour. - Jamie |

Hi Gang, After updating to the latest 1.3 version, I'm now seeing in the MySQL area the various indexes being listed, in addition to the databases. I've got a ton of databases, and don't want the added "junk" display of this new feature. How can this be disabled, regaining the old behavior? Bob |
