Is this project still being worked on? There seems to have been no activity on the SourceForge site. Alternatively, is there any chance of the Bacula code being ported to Webmin? -- Best regards, David mailto:dm...@pe... |

The problem here is that your distro doesn't include a package for ProFTPd, so Webmin can't install it automatically. You'll need to find an RPM for it (perhaps on the proftpd website) and install that instead.. - Jamie |

My mistake, I didn't read your email properly .. OK, I see the problem now, and will fix it in the next Webmin release. The RPM is hard-coded to use /tmp/.webmin for temp files, even when you have requested a different path. - Jamie On 4/Mar/2007 20:29 doug robbins wrote .. > Jamie, > > Not sure I understand you. Hi Doug, The problem here is that RPM extracts the post-install scripts from the package to files under /var/tmp, and then tries to execute them. However, this isn't going to work on your system if /tmp is mounted noexec :-( Since it is RPM that chooses this path and not Webmin, there isn't much that the Webmin package can do about it.. - Jamie On 4/Mar/2007 14:13 doug robbins wrote .. > Different topic but the same issue (hard-coded tmp directory). Different topic but the same issue (hard-coded tmp directory). Tried upgrading Webmin from within Webmin and got this: ------------------------------- .. download complete. Ok I made that mod and now the uploader.cgi is disabled. I then went back an did some testing on my OS9 test machine and it isn't having any problems sending attachments now. As far as the PC business goes I don't use a PC anymore; I've been all X since the start of the school year. I can tell you it doesn't happen on every machine running XP and Firefox 1.5. I attempted to replicate it in OSX using Safari, FireFox 1.5, and FireFox 2.0 an was not able to do so. I asked the technicians down in the other office who are still on PCs to replicate the issue and they cannot either using either FF or IE. When this problem was reported earlier today I walked the users of the machine through cleaning out their cache just to make sure there wasn't something hinky there and also had them go as far as to reboot the machine, but the problem stayed. I wish I could tell you more about this second problem though. BTW, really like the other changes to the Compose section. The tabs are nice looking. -Jesse C. I downloaded 1.26 tonight and added the line into the config file as you had said previously but it didn't seem to have any effect. Did you mean another future version or was it suppose to be this one and maybe I just have something screwed up? We also are starting to see a problem now with this setup on WindowXP machines running FireFox 1.5. If users attach a file to email which is kept on a shared drive from Novell (normally marked as their H: drive) the email they are sending doesn't have any attachments in it. The progress window shoots up, does its thing, disappears, and then you get confirmation that the mail has sent. If the users attach a file which is truly on the local machine it works perfectly fine. So as usual... Any ideas here?:> -Jesse C. Smillie "Insert inspirational or whitty comment here...." Hi everyone, Webmin version 1.330 is now available for download from http://www.webmin.com/ and mirror sites. This release includes the following changes : - If the underlying OS is upgraded after Webmin is installed, a message is displayed on the main page prompting you to fix it. - Added a feature in the BIND module for updating an IP address in multiple zones at once. - The File Manager now automatic detects HTML files and launches the correct editor. - Improved the LDAP module's support for large databases. - When there are too many tables or databases to display in the MySQL and PostgreSQL modules, a menu for selecting a specific table is shown instead. - Added functions to ui-lib.pl for tabs and hidden table sections. - Added support for comments to the Shorewall module, and improved logging - The Webmin Actions Log module can now rollback selected files changed by an action, rather than all of them. - A bunch of other bug fixes and small features. Also available is Usermin 1.260 which has several UI and optimization improvements in the Read Mail module, in particular on the page for sending email. Both Webmin and Usermin include fixes for an XSS security bug in which a malicious filename can be used to capture the sysadmin's session cookie when using the file chooser, so if you run either on a shared system with un-trusted users, I recommend upgrading. As always, please send me any bug reports or feature suggestions that you might have. - Jamie |

Is there any documentation for the Syncmin Module? I have installed the module but I am having a difficult time syncing directories on two separate servers. I have a little info on setting up the hosts, paths, and user credentials, but the files don't sync. CW |

It's a bit confusing having both options though. On is for the global default (Webmin Configuration), the other is for a per-user setting (Change Language and Theme). - Jamie |
