to make it customisation and really would appreciate if someone can help?

   2. I need to add one Hpyper Link on a left hand sidebar for the server
   which is running on same server i.e. http://127.0.0.1:5601

Looks OK to me ... what error message are you getting?

Does Webmin support the concept of "Shorewall Accounting"?

I'm sure I could get it working "manually" somehow, but I don't want any 
manual hacks to be overwritten when I click apply in Webmin :)

See if you have lots and lots of entries in the ".well-known/acme-challenge"
folder.  I had one of these, probably 200 entries in there, killed the
entire tree (.well-known/ and below) and it fixed it.

Someone else reported this error as well, however I've been unable to re-produce 
it or determine why it could happen! I do have some theories and have made changes
to be included in Webmin 1.870 that should address is though.

I just drop an #!/sbin/iptables-restore script in /etc/network/if-up.d/
Then again, I know how to write iptables scripts, and Webmin interface for me
is clunky and unusable.

The underlying firewall service is ... IPTABLES ... and typically, 
Webmin needs to do a iptables-restore ...

This is a setting in Webmin (activate at boot time). When this problem 
occurs, that setting is switched back to "No" in the Webmin interface.

For most services, Webmin just configures the underlying service;  it 
doesn't actively manage the service on an ongoing basis.

In theory you should be able to install a system, install Webmin, 
configure to taste, then uninstall Webmin - and your configured services 
should continue to work as configured.

Which distribution is this?  Chances are you'll have to dig in to the 
underlying firewall service setup to find out why the "activate on boot" 
change Webmin is making isn't sticking.

I found the error in the Virtualmin backup log .. it says there's no 
logfile rotation set-up for thedomain.com, but when I go to System > Log 
file rotation, there is (as the second entry) log file rotation set-up 
for the domain thedomain.com. This site was previously called 
new.thedomain.com, could Virtualmin have gotten confused?

What follows is a list of sites that went well, and then, unfortunately, 
our ticketing system truncates the e-mail text at some arbitrary size limit.

But my point is that I think the reason for the failure should be stated 
after or below the domain(s) that failed.

On a VPS with Linode, I see that on every reboot, Webmin fails to 
restore the IPTABLES configuration.

When I go to Network -> Linux firewall, the "Activate on boot" is reset 
back to "No".

I have to re-enable it, and then click on "apply configuration" and then 
it's back.

Seems like Webmin should be able to figure out how to insert itself into 
the start-up of things. If nothing else, when Webmin is automatically 
started (which it is, that part works) upon system startup.

Hi,

one can avoid the "Failed to lock mail file" error message by disabling 
"Check for POP3 lock files" in the Usermin Module Configuration for the 
"read mail" module.

But I wonder if you do not get any problems by disabling that POP3 lock 
file check?

Problem: Trying to "move/copy" a message (false positive) from those 
spam messages to the "inbox" (i. e. a false positive) always results in 
following error message:

*Failed to move mail : Failed to lock mail file /var/mail/inbox after 
trying for 5 minutes, due to a POP3 lock file.*

Simultaneously being locked in via SFTP I can see that Usermin obviously 
succeeds in creating an inbox.lock file where the inbox-file is located. 
But why does the error message mentioned above appear?

Any ideas how to solve the problem? Maybe the problem has to do with the 
permissions/ownership of the generated inbox.lock (660 and Owner: 
username:mail).

Not in Webmin, but Virtualmin can set both of these up for you.

Looks like maybe your python  version is too old - which Linux distribution
and version is this?

thing is that I set up a VPS with Virtualmin yesterday and no problem

Does anyone know of a good set of instructions for setting up DKIM & DMARC on a server?  Is it possible to set-up via Webmin?

Hello,

Needing to setup DKIM key for a virtual server in the 
Virtualmin/ServerConfig/DomainKeyOptions, I see that I can use the 
"global default key".

Where is this  "global default key" on Webmin? Unable to find anything 
in the Webmin various menus :(

I already setup a few domains with this but my memory fails and I am 
unable now to remember where this global key is :(((

All is good now.  I did a wipe of the server, reinstall of the OS etc. 
and then a fresh install of virtualmin.  I then rebooted the server and 
virtualmin is good to go.
