Hi Phil: All my tables are innodb except those of mrp and the wiki ones (I think I'm using the default). Other scripts that caused errors (as SupplierInvoice, InternalStockRequestFulfill) seem to do the rollback OK, so I guess it is something on the CounterSales.php or a DB setting. Hi all: Due to a wrong change in GL account code to varchar(20) (now fixed and committed) I was facing some errors at CounterSales.php Big problem was, it is not performing the rollback properly. At some point the script tried to update a GL account that did not exist, and wisely the system stopped and showed a database error 1452: cannot add or update a child row.... So, the script is supposed to rollback until the DB_tx_Begin, but it did not and DB was left inconsistent. Checked and added more error reporting and rollback seems succesful but it is not. As example, the INSERT into salesorders and INTO salesorderdetails are left at the DB, even if some INSERT at gltrans failed. Could not fix it yet. Anyone faced the same problem? Regards, Ricard |

We did extend this max execution time last year I think - so should have fixed that issue already. But one to bear in mind for Exson's work. it is now for a very long time (since 3.??) that I experience the installer unable to finish on Windows machines. That is roughly independent of the PHP version (XAMPP, WAMP, Bitnami). Always, the MySQL dies in installing the db. All is fine if I manually load the db into Mysql, but even that takes ages. I suspect that the max execution time may be too short? Great stuff Exson... the installer is good but multi-language with a choice of charts of accounts perhaps specific to each country would be brilliant. You are a dynamo at the moment what with all your good work on the smtp email options - great to have you back :-) Phil On 13 May 2013 at 12:41 webERP Developers <web...@li...> wrote: > *Dear all:* > > I'd like to improve the install process of webERP to make it > more convenient. > The first step is to make it multi-language. *Dear all:* I'd like to improve the install process of webERP to make it more convenient. The first step is to make it multi-language. I'm wondering if we should create a special interface for each language or just use current php-gettext. And the 2nd one is add more text to explain the install step. The 3rd one is the default language choice for users. And the 4th is a different COA which is for different country. At the mean time, webERP seems cannot be installed in some cloud. I'll try to solve this problem. Any comments is highly appreciated! Thanks and best regards! Good people, There has been some private discussion about the idea of a webERP conference. We have a venue in Sri Lanka - thanks Samudaya - and really wondering if there is enough enthusiasm from users and developers to warrant the effort of organising such an event. I'd be happy to do a session on Point of Sale and hopefully my new web-shop by this time, but it would also be great to have some feedback/case studies from users to see the businesses where webERP is being used and informal discussion with people passionate about webERP. Please advise if you would be a starter for such an event. Phil Phil Daintree Logic Works Ltd - +64 (0)275 567890 http://www.logicworks.co.nz skype:daintree |

Hi phil: I committed a change into webERP SVN that maintains a flag to indicate if the currency must be shown / hiden on the weberp CART. Why? if you are doing selling in one country or a group of countries (let's say UK and France), you want the customers on your webcart to operate in GBP or EUR, but probably not in USD, CNY, THB, or any other currency you have set up to deal with suppliers. In the next few days I'll commit the change into Mo's webCART. This new flag does not affect in any way internal webERP functionality. Thanks for the feedback Ricard - freight is tricky because the weight of the items need to be factored in - plus the zip from Phil Ph: +64 (0)275 567890 Skype: daintree http://www.logicworks.co.nz On 08 May 2013 at 14:21 webERP Developers <web...@li...> wrote: > Hi Phil: > > Have been thinking a bit about freight / shipment costs and we use 2 > calculation methods depending if shipments is national or international: > > 1) if National: We use city or ZIP code to calculate shipment costs > 2) If international: We use Country to calculate it. > > I guess it's a pretty standard way to do it (at least is how DHL, FedEx and > EMS work around here). Hi Phil: Have been thinking a bit about freight / shipment costs and we use 2 calculation methods depending if shipments is national or international: 1) if National: We use city or ZIP code to calculate shipment costs 2) If international: We use Country to calculate it. I guess it's a pretty standard way to do it (at least is how DHL, FedEx and EMS work around here). If I'm sending a parcel to Australia, it's the same rate whatever the zip code is. It was one of the things to improve in Mo's cart, as he's using the zip code only. Regards, Ricard |

*Hi, Phil:* If there are no other concern, I'll hack the logic of access permission maintenance logic to create a files and mailing lists maintenance interface. It'll be used to assign the files or necessary notes to a mailing list. The mailing list will be from the www_users. Any comments are highly appreciated! Best regards! Maybe also a schedule of when the report should be run and add this into the session.inc check on first run of the day to produce reports and fire off. Sales analysis reports would be nice to automate this way too. Need some way to default/enter parameters though to get useful reports. *Hi, Richard:* Since the password should be sent to the mail server, if we encrypt it, we have to decrypt it before we send to the server. If you have good idea, I'll try to apply it. Best regards! Hi all: The page http://sourceforge.net/p/web-erp/code/HEAD/tree/ gives the URL to checkout the SVN files, but svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/web-erp/code/trunk web-erp-code does not work on TortoiseSVN. It should be changed to https.// (note the "S"). Regards, Ricard |
