Hi Phil: I've played a bit with it and looks good. Just a few questions: 1) Are you planning to make it multi-currency? So customer can pick the currency she is more comfortable with. 2) Stock in hand, could it consider the stock in several locations? This parameter is used in Mo's cart and it's very useful. Kind of webshop if loccode in ("loca", "locb", "locc", etc...). 3) Discounts. Will the shop show the items in discount with price before / after discount? Or price - X%? But, really, it's looking better tan I thought few months ago ;-) Regards, Ricard 2013/4/30 webERP Developers <web...@li...> > ** > I mentioned that I had been enjoying myself creating a web-shop > integrated for webERP. Of course it is only sense to make these modifications so we use the functionality consistently across all scripts. *Hi, Phil:* Thank you for your understanding! There are 16 scripts left now. If you agree to revise them, I'll revise them one by one within 2 weeks. Since android phone becomes more and more popular, and mails just like a message to help them know what's happening if they use gmail. And I believe that more mobile info are needed. Maybe we can set up a default smtp servers then the admin no bother to do it themselves? Thanks and best regards! I mentioned that I had been enjoying myself creating a web-shop integrated for webERP. There is still some way to go, but I have put up a partially working demo at http://www.weberp.org/shop login/checkout/payment all yet to complete... but enough to get a flavour of what I am up to. The shop is configured in webERP at: http://www.weberp.org/weberp/ShopParameters.php <http://www.weberp.org/weberp/ShopParameters.php> I haven't committed this development yet ... until I have it all going. I am thinking a small charge might be applicable for the web-shop - like my POS - so will probably not be open-source. Phil Ph: +64 (0)275 567890 Skype: daintree http://www.logicworks.co.nz |

Hi Exson, Yes I think I see .... instead of configuring the server properly, the settings in webERP are pragmatically easier to administer. Makes sense to me. There are actually many scripts that use the htmlMimeMail class that need to have the send method parameters set to use the smtp option though still if this change is to be effective though. *Hi, Phil: * I've been asked not less than 3 times from the users that how to set the smtp in webERP. Usually, those users will not host webERP in a virtual host, and some of them don't know how to config smtp in windows environment or Unix like environment --(I'm one of them too -:). It's more convenient for them to set the SMTP in the setup than to change the php.ini or to revise the smtp.php scripts themselves. Does that make sense? Hi Exson, Interested in your work on this smtp transport option. Although we have had this smtp settings configuration form for a while. We have only ever sent one email I think using the htmlMimeMail class smtp transport option. I have never run into an issue with the normal php mail function - but interested to understand when and why the new smtp option might be used? On windows servers the php mail function can be set to use an external smtp server in any event in the php.ini Thanks Phil On 30 April 2013 at 13:39 webERP Developers <web...@li...> wrote: > *Hi, Richard:* > > Thank you for your comments. Please review today's bugs fixed report. I fixed SMTP mail related bugs today: 1. Users can config use smtp or not in setup. 2. They can mail their PO via smtp mail by the SMTP setting. The SMTP settings has some error messages for those Boolean instead of object query return. And fixed the SMTP does not work for Chinese setting, maybe also other language except English. At the same time fixed the mailing feature for PO PDF files via smtp. It's no such setting before. Tim has review those files and found that </select> tag missing. And I got Richard's feedback that I should create another 4.10-4.11 sql file. Thank you Tim and Richard. Best regards! *Dear all:* Please refer to today's bugs fixed report: Thank you very much for Samudaya's report and correction. Also thanks for Phil's efforts to fixed these bugs. 27/4/13 Samudaya: Fixed a bug in PO_Items.php when a line of a purchase order is deleted (other than the last line) and then subsequently a new line is added - the last line of the order is over-written. 27/4/13 Samudaya: PO_Items.php When purchasing a non-stock item (asset), AssetID goes to wrong column in purchorderdetails table (Column name - suppliers_partno). Fixed the bug and now save the AssetID in the correct assetid column. 27/4/13 Samudaya: Fixed the Page Navigation (Go, Previous, Next) problem. This problem occurs there are many assets and display as several pages. And a title mistake Z_CurrencySuppliersBalance.php revised by Phil. Best regards! Tim, The batch controlled part is not and never was set to auto-issue. I have checked the database. It is not set to auto-issue in the BOM table. I will try to research the problem further. For now we can correct the database outside of WebERP and continue I haven't looked into what has happened due this problem ot the costing and ledger postings. The batch item handling is another can of worms. If a batch is issued to a Work Order, part received and then the work order is closed, the remaining items in the batch are lost. Example: Batch 20121225 has 100 of ITEM A We need 50 of PART XYZ the requires one of ITEM A per part. When we build 50 of PART XYZ, receive and close the work order, 100 of Item A have been removed from inventory never to be found in the database. The problem gets even more involved, if we have to take ITEM A from multiple batches. PART XYZ gets a unique serial number upon integration of ITEM A. We need batch traceability. This forces us to create multiple work orders based on the quantities in a batch. Well the issue I think is that when issuing controlled items to a work order, we are really only wanting to see those batches where there is actually stock available. Bob's revision just returns the batches with a quantity > 0. It is of course no point displaying batches where there is no stock left. The rationale for retaining the serialnumber reference was that if the item was ever returned, the credit note logic expects the serial number to exist (you can turn this off as a parameter - for the situation where webERP may not have been in use when the serial number was actually made). Also, when you wish to look at historical stock movements and which serial numbers were on it - this record is required (I think?). I have committed your change - thanks for feeding back your improvements to webERP. Phil On 26 April 2013 at 01:00 webERP Developers <web...@li...> wrote: > Yes. Yes. The table stockserialitems is queried. In that table, no records are ever deleted when a serial numbered item is moved to a new location or becomes part of a new item. The quantity is merely set to 0. I have not had the time to study the code in detail to determine the rational for such behavior. One would have expected the record to have been deleted instead of just setting the quantity to 0. In any case, addition of the condition "AND quantity > 0" to the query corrected the problem. Since we have started using WebERP for tracking manufacturing, we have built hundreds of serialized items. The list had grown very large. We generally have bar code on the serial numbered items. The issue to Work Order function as currently implemented does not support keyed entry of serial numbers. We use the bar code scanner as a supplement to the keyboard. We would not want to lose the existing selection box, but would like the option of keyed entry also. Good to have you back on the case Exson, I am not sure we have really bottomed the BOMExtendedQty one though yet ... it is a bit more complicated than that I think ... I have not really looked into it yet. There is a bug in BOM.php that allows a controlled item to be updated as an auto issued component - of course that should not be possible as the batch/serial number needs to be entered for each issue of a controlled item. I have just fixed this now. I am pleased to have the GLPostings.inc fixed finally - (I hope) please if anyone gets a TB out of balance again if you could let me know. In the words of Randy Jackson - big "props" to MacPhotoBiker off the webERP forum for his help in figuring out who this posting error occurs. Sorry I have been watching too much American Idol :-) That GL bug has been a pain in the butt for quite some time, so would be great if that was the end of it!! VAT based on 100% price: Tim, if I am not totally off the road, that is not so in Germany: if the vendor reduces the price by 10% with respect to the original quotation (or if I get an early payment discount), then VAT is based on the 90% payed, not on the original 100%. As we had VAT tax audits and they went fine, I assume I did that right. Bob, Why wouldn't the payment terms for the supplier be set up to be say 1.5% discount for payment within 7 days. then when an invoice is entered the terms pop up and the due date is defaulted to invoice date plus 7 days. It would seem additional work to enter the discount with each invoice, if this is part of the terms. The payment run functionality would then need to handle the discount applicable so we only pay the net amount. Let me know off list if you wish to sponsor such development. It would be a nice addition.
