*Dear all:* I've noticed that if we choose credit in customer inquiry screen, the same transaction is allowed to credit again and again. It'll leads to qtyinvoiced become negative in some situation. I think this behavior is not allowed. Since we have another scripts SelectCreditItems.php to credit without any goods return or invoice etc. And I've noticed that some place only show errors without preventing invoice processing. Any comments are highly appreciated! Thanks and best regards! *Dear all,* Since no objection for this purpose. I've created the feature and commit it to trunk. Tim has provide good advice, so I've revised the scripts to use combo box to limit the length of the stock list. It's not a great solution but I think can meet most users' needs. If the data not shows in the list, they have to input a correct stock ID themselves. I agree it's not a perfect solution, but I cannot find a concise one now. Thank you Tim for your comments. HI, Not sure, but another solution could be to have it inside "Main Menu -> Inventory -> Maintenance -> Inventory Categories Maintenance" but only display it if the user has access to the "Setup module". It needs the access to two modules to be shown. Although at first glance it seems appropriate to gather all inventory stuff on one screen, it could be inconvenient for security (prevent errors) and for complication in programming. Could have it either or both. The thinking in having it more tucked away was to prevent errors in gl postings as changing the inventory categories has implications for cogs and sales gl postings and a raft of other configuration and needs careful thought -- Phil Daintree +64(0)275 567890 Skype: daintree "Rafael Chacón" <raf...@gm...> wrote: >Hi, > >Is there any reason to run the script StockCategories.php from: > >Main Menu -> Setup -> Inventory Setup -> Inventory Categories >Maintenance > >instead of: > >Main Menu -> Inventory -> Maintenance -> Inventory Categories >Maintenance > >? > >Regards, Rafael. > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ > >------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business. *Dear all:* I'd like to develop a price break feature which hack from discount break matrix. Sometime, users will sell a product in different price at different quantity break instead by percentage. And the logic is almost as same as the discount matrix. That's why I think I'll hack it. And I'll revise the Get goods price function to meet the new requirements. If there is no objection, I'll commit it to the trunk. Otherwise, I'll use it myself. Any comments are welcome! Thank in advance! Best regards! *Hi, Phil,* Thank you for your reply. Tim has a good explain for this. So I attached in the following. Thank you very much Tim. I think we should not increase the length of the categoryid. And according to Tim's information, I think we should try to avoid using the stock ID too. But I think it's a tough job as Phil said. I agree keep the current status. And thank you Vatily for your advice. It's better keep it as is for the benefit of users who use MRP features. Thank you all. I appreciated everyone's help from such a global community. It's a warm feeling! Best regards! Exson <quotation from Tim> Increasing the size of primary key fields increases the time the database engine takes to query those tables. There are already some parts of webERP that are unusable for large stockmaster tables (you showed me a report once and somebody else has mentioned MRP which slows exponentially as the size of stockmaster increases). I'm not sure I see a "use case" for this. I may be wrong but I can't remember anywhere in webERP that the user would actually see the category ID as opposed to the category name (except of course in the category maintenance screen) and if there is, it should be removed. Hi Exson, Please could you describe the drivers for this proposal? I am not keen on the face of it because the stockid is shown on quite a lot of reports and space is often at a premium - all these reports would need re-writing. I think 20 varchar is ample for stockid and 6 fine for stock categories. This change probably belongs in the customers own branch - unless there is some logic I am missing. For period by period reporting you can use the sales analysis reporting to create reports just the way you would like them. Hi Phil, Thank's for your reply and sorry for my late answer. Now I understand the difference between daily sales and sales order inquiries, according to your explaination I have to use the daily sales inquiry to achieve the sales amount for each salesman. But I want to view the daily sales inquiry with the list of salesman, just like if I select the sales order inquiry with "Report Type: Summary" and "Summary Type: Salesman", then it will generate the report contains all the salesman list with their sales amount. How could I achieve this, but with the daily sales inquiries report? Should I add another option in sales order inquiry in "Order Type:" or elsewhere? or should I modify the daily sales inquiry to add that kind of functionalities? Please give me advice and workarounds on this, Thank's. ----- Baliboss Bali Open Source Solution www.baliboss.com -- View this message in context: http://weberp-accounting.1478800.n4.nabble.com/Daily-Sales-Inquiry-and-Sales-Order-Detail-Or-Summary-Inquiries-Results-tp4657028p4657083.html Sent from the web-ERP-developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Hi Rafael: There is a new table maintaining the users - bank accounts authorizations, as you have discovered. Probably the message in this case should be " Bank Accounts have not yet been defined or you have not been authorized to use any bank account. Please contact system admin to create bank accounts or authorize you to use them" or similar. Hope it helps Regards, Ricard 2013/12/12 Rafael Chacón <raf...@gm...> > Hi, > > I upgraded from version 4.11.1 to 4.11.2. Hi, I upgraded from version 4.11.1 to 4.11.2. Now, when I do the options: * Main Menu > General Ledger > Bank Account Payments Entry (Payments.php) * Main Menu > General Ledger > Bank Account Receipts Entry (CustomerReceipt.php) I have the mesage: "INFORMATION Message : Bank Accounts have not yet been defined. You must first define the bank accountsand general ledger accounts to be affected" but four counts are already defined. The real problem is that there are no Bank Account Authorised Users. I included some users for those accounts and the problem disappeared. I'm not very clear about logic of this script. Can anyone help me to put the right message for this case? Best regards, Rafael. |

Yes this looks like a bug ... they need to be multiplied by the quantity on the bom. *Dear all:* Thumb has spot some errors in webERP. It maybe just misunderstanding, so I bring it here for your confirmation: 1. The standard cost calculation: Credit_invoice.php at line 728. It's as following: $StandardCost += $AssParts['standard']; and the standard is defined as: $sql = "SELECT bom.component, bom.quantity, stockmaster.materialcost + stockmaster.labourcost + stockmaster.overheadcost AS standard FROM bom, stockmaster WHERE bom.component=stockmaster.stockid AND bom.parent='" . $CreditLine->StockID . "' AND bom.effectiveto > '" . Date('Y-m-d') . "' AND bom.effectiveafter < '" . Date('Y-m-d') . "'"; so it seems that the quantity is missing in the standardCost definition for assembly items. 2. And also same problem appeared in SelectCreditItems.php at line 1447. $StandardCost += $AssParts['standard']; Are they bugs? Thank you for your attention. Best regards! *Hi, Phil, Tim:* Thank you for your great comments. I agree that access control and authorization control is different. And it is should be specific most of time according to business type. And at the mean time, we should find a way which is not complex but flexible enough to meet requirements. I've spot a user-definable workflow in OA(a software which is like of groupware). When a request created, the users can define the approval procedure himself. It's in java and not a open source, so I don't know how it is implemented. But it is a flexible and convenient method. And Phil has a point that we may extend the purchordersauth table to records those data. I'll find sometime to study it and hope we can find a programmatic way to solve this problem. Thanks and best regards!
