Team,
"Routing feature" in Manufacturing is a must have feature and I could
notice the feature is not implemented.
Manufacturing Order creation process with Routing functionality is need of
an hour for small and medium scale manufacturing industries. This feature
will help these industries to continue their operations seamlessly even
during their high attrition of technical talents.
Routing:
Define the sequence of operations to the product/item with milestones. This
is the place where we define the work center required for every operation,
time required for setup and run (machine & labor) and tools details if any.
Work Order with Routing and Material List as a package moves in sequence to
various work centers is what I have seen everywhere in the shop floor and
bringing this feature in our Manufacturing module will really change the
face of webERP.
Please think through and let me know if need any additional information in
this regard.

While exploring further, I have noticed the following feature in
Manufacturing will ease the Production Planning team's life in shop floor.
Multi-Level Bill Of Materials Maintenance - User Sequence Option
- Introducing the Product sequence numbering to the components will
establish the sequence of the bill of material. This will help the
Production Planning & Assembly team to focus on the items based on the
sequence and will help us to view the true product structure with the BoM
listings when we have the reporting with "Level" with "Product Sequence".
- I feel this option can be introduced in the existing "Multi-Level
Bill Of Materials Maintenance" screen by adding additional Product sequence
field.

I have rich ERP implementation experience in Manufacturing and Logistics
domain and started looking for spending my time in contributing to any of
the open source project. While exploring the web, happen to get a chance
to see the webERP and noticed that the product is meeting most of the
features and would like to extend all my support to enhance further to

In this connection, while getting into the flow, noticed that the
"Purchase Requisition" feature is not implemented, which is a must have
feature. Do you have any plan or how it is handled currently in webERP.

Purchase Requisition:
It is a first step to procurement. Any user in a company can raise a
purchase request for the procurement of any item (from stationery to capital
goods outside of MRP) and the same can be queued for approvals to their
supervisors and followed by available to purchase department for
procurement.

Yes, the software comes with the translation, but the PHP server needs to
have the gettext extension installed a

and the locale of your language needs also to be installed on your server.
This is about web-server configuration not about webERP.

Production Planning & Assembly team to focus on the items based on the
sequence and will help us to view the true product structure with the BoM
listings when we have the reporting with "Level" with "Product Sequence".
- I feel this option can be introduced in the existing "Multi-Level
Bill Of Materials Maintenance" screen by adding additional Product sequence
field.

It is a first step to procurement. Any user in a company can raise a
purchase request for the procurement of any item (from stationery to capital
goods outside of MRP) and the same can be queued for approvals to their
supervisors and followed by available to purchase department for
procurement.

Yes, the software comes with the translation, but the PHP server needs to
have the gettext extension installed a

In addition to your valuable points, we do have benefits like the buyer can check the as on date purchase demand and on-hand quantity of the item at any point in time by querying the PR. Also, by displaying the On hand quantity, Minimum order quantity & Economic Order quantity in the PR reports/Purchase screens will help the buyer to decide on the Purchase quantity. All these features will help the buyer to decide on the vendor. And, item categories like "Stores Consumables" (AA Batteries, Teflon taps, First aid items, et al) required for in-house consumption doesn't fall in any of the categories (SO / MRP) but still we need to procure based on the internal demands. I've studied webERP's work flow and found it do not meets the requirements most of time. Sometime users will create a PR by sales orders instead of by the result of MRP. The purchasing request will include materials according to BOM. So it usually will include different vendors' data instead of only one vendor in the PO. The PR answer the question why we should purchase. But PO can not answer it. That's why the PR is a must in some business environment. And there are also users who use the MRP result to create a PR. In my opinion, we can create two kinds of work flow for users who need this feature. One is according to SO and one is according to MRP result. After the PR is approved, we can convert it to PO and connect to webERP's currently work flow. It's just my 2 cents. The purchase requisition is effectively the establishment of an unauthorised purchase order and can be initiated by users with appropriate permissions. The authority to authorise and release purchase orders can be set up for different users for different levels of authority/currency. Welcome to webERP community and thanks for any constructive
comments.
In manufacturing environment, Purchasing request is a must in
most of time. It's an internal document instead of a PO which is used to
send to suppliers.
I've studied webERP's work flow and found it do not meets the
requirements most of time. Sometime users will create a PR by sales orders
instead of by the result of MRP. The purchasing request will include
materials according to BOM. So it usually will include different vendors'
data instead of only one vendor in the PO.
The PR answer the question why we should purchase. But PO can not
answer it. That's why the PR is a must in some business environment.
And there are also users who use the MRP result to create a PR.
In my opinion, we can create two kinds of work flow for users who
need this feature. One is according to SO and one is according to MRP
result.
After the PR is approved, we can convert it to PO and connect to
webERP's currently work flow. It's just my 2 cents.
And I've also noticed that in a trading environment, the PR's role
is not so important.

Hello Muthu, Whilst we don't have the purchase requisition step - we do have a full authorisation logic where the purchase order initiation is quite separate to the authorisation and the order cannot be sent until it is authorised. The purchase requisition is effectively the establishment of an unauthorised purchase order and can be initiated by users with appropriate permissions. The authority to authorise and release purchase orders can be set up for different users for different levels of authority/currency. Given the separation of the authorisation logic and the purchase order initiation in an on-line environment I figured that the requisition step was actually unnecessary. Main reason is for allow purchase orders and sales orders and payments handle multiples (quota or parcela). I have made modifications on PaymentTerms.php for handle these new fields on insert, update and delete (see examples details below). Now i can calculate not only first days for account pable but 2nd, 3rd etc "parcelas" like 30days, 60days, 90days not only text on name of conditions but numbers of days for payment after receive purchase materials and for sales, general ledger etc. See main aspect that concept already existing on weberp is preserved (number of days elapsed or specific day in next month). If someone no need of feature leave news field with zeros or blank (on screen) of PaymentTerms.php. Team,
I have rich ERP implementation experience in Manufacturing and Logistics
domain and started looking for spending my time in contributing to any of
the open source project. While exploring the web, happen to get a chance
to see the webERP and noticed that the product is meeting most of the
features and would like to extend all my support to enhance further to

In this connection, while getting into the flow, noticed that the
"Purchase Requisition" feature is not implemented, which is a must have

have the gettext extension installed a

I see that WebERP already have Indonesia langauage buat when I change the language to Indonesian, the language is still in english. I tried another language and it still the same. Is there any plugin or something to change the language because I tried the demo, the language can be changed. Also, I tried to change the company preference like name, address, and currency, but when I click the submit button, it doesn't submit and just stay o > n the same page. Why is this happening? Is there some bugs? The extension is okay. So, does the download version already include locale language?
