All, Here is a list of things I've been thinking to do. I've taken usr_90.txt. I will starting doing that after my holiday. Hopefully I will be less bussier then. After I finish that one, I will start reviwing the existing ones. I am thinking of doing them one by one, including my own (especially). But if someone volunteers to do some of them, I'd be much happier. ;-). By then, I think it would time for rolling out the new checking script, which automatically updates the status page and so on. If things go well, the rest of the usr*.txt would have been finished as well. Then we can make _the_ second release, which would be a milestone one. Let's hope it won't strech out beyond the end of June (this year that is). I have been hoping to generate pdf files for the translated documents. Yes I have Acrobat but don't want to use that. I've been struggling to get Chinese support installed for LaTeX/ConTeXt without luck. Anyone had experience in this? That's all I hope. Thanks for being patient with my ramblings. Finally!! It took me almost 2 month (shorter than it felt actually). Anyway, it is there in CVS. I'd appreciate if someone can take the burden to review it. I believe I tried my best but it is a long one and a difficult one. I am pretty sure I made some mistakes (hoepfully not a lot). It's definitely very quite down here and in CVS. I am only hoping that people are still committed to this project. I know I am at the least, though it has been very tight for me to find time doing translations. I will take a break (roughly 10 days). Good luck to you all. lang2 -- Where in the body can you find your metacarpal bones? Thanks wandys for the good work. I've been very busy and thus very lazy these days. Apologies. > There are only 5 files within the user > manual not yet taken. I hope we > could finish the user part soon. I sure hope so too. It has been a while since we released something. This is going to be a major release and I would be much pleased if we can make it in a short time frame. > What are you guys busy doing? Anything > interesting? ;-) Good question. My status report below: I am still working with usr_41.txt, very slowly. :( I've prepared some scripts for automating checking in and updating the websites. But I am reluctant to roll it out since it will break the current 'nice looking' status. Probably I will do is I will introduce it when we (or I) are ready to review all the usr_??.txt. -- What is the most abundant metal on earth? Hi, all I've translated about 70% of the file usr_29.txt. And i think i'm about to finish it in the next 2 or 3 days. Also, i've taken the file usr_44.txt. And web pages updated accordingly. There are only 5 files within the user manual not yet taken. I hope we could finish the user part soon. Well, it seems that these days are much quieter on our ML and CVS server. What are you guys busy doing? Anything interesting? ;-) Regards, -- Leslie Jackson |
