1) The old script would remove all original *.txt files first and then install our translated files. Not the rite way. We should remain non-translated files. 2) I followed this thread. This is what i got: both woody and sid use *.txt.gz but one use help.txt and another use help.txt.gz. The new script copies the help.txt first and then gzips and copies all *.txt..gz files. So this way should work for both woody and sid. 3) The new script is shorter and simpler. =) So James (and other Debian users, probably?), would you please test it under your Debian box and tell us if it's okay? In Debian Woody(stable), the vim(ver 6.1) docs are originally provided in forms of .txt.gz After we install our chinese docs, vim still load those English versions. The reason is that the file ``tags'' is built with those .txt.gz filenames.
