I downloaded daylight services, and it wants to know what sort of ircd server unreal is... Could you please tell me the answer to this: Which of the following is closest to the type of server on your IRC network? 1) Base irc2 distribution (RFC 1459 compliant) 2) irc2 with TS8 protocol 11) Undernet (ircu) 2.9.32 or earlier 21) DALnet (ircd.dal) prior to 4.4.15 22) DALnet (ircd.dal) 4.4.15 or later Thank you very much, Swat. |

I highly recommend NOT using flystats0.9-7 It has a gigantic leak and will cause 90% or higher CPU usage DON'T USE IT -Chris ---------- > From: Swat <go...@sw...> > To: unr...@li... > Subject: [Unreal-users] Statserv > Date: Saturday, June 24, 2000 3:53 PM > > I am trying to add, flystats0.9-7 as the stats server for unreal ircd 3.0 > but it is complaining about not having an "N Line". Don't use 2.0. Its got a nice memory leak in it somewhere (like it uses 24Mb of memory a day on our network!) use 1.1.2 version. it works nicely with Unreal 3.0 2.0 will be out of beta when I have some spare time one day Justin -----Original Message----- From: Peter Gonis <go...@es...> To: unr...@li... <unr...@li...> Date: Sunday, June 25, 2000 1:46 PM Subject: Re: [Unreal-users] Statserv >You need to add c/n lines for the link. >StatServ runs from a seperate server (like services), and therfore it needs >c/n lines >wouldnt use flystats anyway, try neostats (www.neostats.net) :) >GoNiS >----- Original Message ----- >From: Swat <go...@sw...> >To: <unr...@li...> >Sent: Sunday, June 25, 2000 5:23 AM >Subject: [Unreal-users] Statserv > > >> I am trying to add, flystats0.9-7 as the stats server for unreal ircd 3.0 >> but it is complaining about not having an "N Line". You need to add c/n lines for the link. StatServ runs from a seperate server (like services), and therfore it needs c/n lines wouldnt use flystats anyway, try neostats (www.neostats.net) :) GoNiS ----- Original Message ----- From: Swat <go...@sw...> To: <unr...@li...> Sent: Sunday, June 25, 2000 5:23 AM Subject: [Unreal-users] Statserv > I am trying to add, flystats0.9-7 as the stats server for unreal ircd 3.0 > but it is complaining about not having an "N Line". I am trying to add, flystats0.9-7 as the stats server for unreal ircd 3.0 but it is complaining about not having an "N Line". Can anyone advise me what this is, and what is the appropriate entry i should put? Thank you very much, Swat. |

http://www.avana.net/~ventura/docs/linux/linux-fd-tweak.html (for linux) 2. Raise the fd limit per process for the whole system instead of just the DS. To do this, add set rlim_fd_cur=1024 to the end of the /etc/system file and reboot the machine. My hostname resolves on all your servers apart from your "quest" IRC server. If the quest server is hosted with a shell provider and you haven't changed anything since this problem started, I would consider taking this problem up with them. ------Original Message------ From: "Rusty Zimmerman" <rz...@mu...> To: unr...@li... ok about that cant resolve hostname a dns server is what resolves the hostname and what i think is happening is the dns server of the network isnt working with Unreal 3.0 thus causing it to resort to your ip for connection, i think its an easy fix but im not sure check your dns server and for people who dont know what dns means its your domain name service you need it to be resolved or to resolve other ips, this is just my opinion though ----- Original Message ----- From: Fuelie <Fu...@kc...> To: <unr...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, June 14, 2000 11:18 AM Subject: Re: [Unreal-users] Connection Delay > it is doing this on my network also! > > > Member of Fuelie.net > http://www.fuelie.net > CHAT AT: > Server: Irc.fuelie.net > Port: 6667 > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Finny Merrill" <nol...@ya...> > To: <unr...@li...> > Sent: Wednesday, June 14, 2000 11:54 AM > Subject: Re: [Unreal-users] Connection Delay > > > > Are you sure it's 3.0 and not 3.1? > > Is it ircd or wircd? > > > > --- Rusty Zimmerman <rz...@mu...> wrote: > > > We have been using Unreal 3.0 morrigan fix for a > > > while now but lately every > > > time someone tryies to connect it wont resolve thier > > > hostname and has to use > > > the ip address.
